A10 Season Preview

Would anyone here consider top half of A10 this season good? Good enough to keep Paulsen?

I know it doesn't happen often, but I think we may see a lame duck year.

Mason may not want to pay a coach to not be here, given the times. The candidate pool may be small. And I don't see the team achieving enough success to warrant an extension.

Completely agree, for months we’ve been seeing Colleges around the country cutting programs left and right to save money, Mason is cheap, they’ll ride his contract out.

Is the NCAA just passing out waivers to everyone this year? How the hell did Stockard get a waiver? He played a full season last year at Kansas St. and he's from St. Louis.

Moyer is literally the same exact player as Oduro man.... I agree with you completely... but they have Parr off the bench and a BIG BOI freshman to come in and bang as well

@gmujim92 don't get me wrong I think we are better than GW but they have a nice mix of savvy veterans and highly touted young guys for a year 2 coach is all I am saying... just sucks they beat our a** last year when they were SUPER SHITTY

Yeah I can see GW being in that 8th/9th area. They are probably a year away from really doing anything big (as long as they have a good year this year).

it still is even with AJ which is frustrating. I seriously pray that Henry can be even half as good in help side while also being able to stay in front of his man

All teams really have to do is move Oduro or Calixte out of the paint, attack our PG (XJ or Hartwell) with a screen, and its off to the races.

If we're going to improve defensively, Oduro has to become better at hedging and recovering, and XJ and Hartwell have to be better at fighting through screens and not losing their man.

It would also help if Greene brought it every game next year and not sometimes.

I will be interested to see if Christian can get everybody enough touches with Bishop immediately eligible. He’s ball-dominant and they have 3 other guys who can score it in Battle, Jack and Nelson Jr.

Depends on if we struggle as much with 3-point shooting this year as we have the last 2 (not having a stagnant non-moving offense might help with this, too).

It should help that we have one of the few pretty much unguardable players in the A-10. If AJ consistently plays to the level he showed on several occasions last season, our other guys will get wide-open looks because he’ll have to be doubled to get the ball out of his hands.
