Ok so when I read this even though you said you can’t make it up, I still believed it had to be made up.
I actually thought it must have been a Jollay post. Lol I mean that in a good way.

So we all have wondered what the hell Darrell Green gets paid to do at Mason and now we learn that he hired his long time friend as his assistant. I think our school is even worse off than I thought we were.

How far does the pyramid go? Brad hires his unqualified worthless longtime friend/teammate Darrell who hires his longtime “fan dictator” friend Dawn, wonder if she’s gotten anyone a job.

Now I’m not sure if good Ol’ Paul Hewitt was the only virus Mason caught years back.

If Green gets paid 100k to do nothing, she’s gotta make what. 50-60? What does an assistant to a man who does nothing do? I agree, something smells sour the more this gets peeled back. A lot of money being wasted on staff that seemingly have no purpose.

Man i cannot stress enough, he does NOTHING. He was brought in to fund raise i would challenge anyone from GMU to show one dollar that he has brought in. Pre-pandemic, he would show up on campus once or twice a month. He would walk around the offices where he didn't know anyones name and try and talk about the Redskins. He doesn't have an office. He doesn't have a desk. They don't even act like he works there. This is nothing more than Edwards hiring his buddy. He dabs up the student-athletes and does a little "mentorship." that's it. since the pandemic, i can't imagine he's doing much of anything. he is a literal $100k parasite on our department. That's 3 in-state scholarships he's taking we could give to one of our teams. The fact that taxpayer money is being used to prop this guy up because he played for the redskins is wild. Check out the darrell green thread in the archives, i've been beating this drum for year.

As for for assistant, no idea what she does. I assume she's weak from her 21-day fast, but what do i know.

The lady legit said “we still have a chance to make the A10 tournament” and then liked Bryan’s tweet about aiming to make the play in game at the A10 tourney.

It probably went a tad too far, as she was clearly clueless, but it would be nice to know that people within our athletic office have a clue. Mediocrity is the ceiling...unfortunately.

It makes sense that a university ad employee supports the team through thick and thin. Disturbing that she doesn't seem to understand that all A-10 teams make the A-10 tourney and seems to believe appearing in a play in game is a good thing.

Her notion that fans of a D-1 basketball team shouldn't criticize and critique online is out of touch. It's what fans do.

Mississippi state and Oklahoma state in year 1 were pretty big. As was the home win against vcu that year. Penn state and Nebraska (although they stunk last year) may count too. I thought the program turned the corner when they boat raced penn state in state college.

Beyond that, not much. And all of that was early on (except Nebraska)

Yep, the program’s trend line is definitely headed in the wrong direction. The only way to not see that is to close your eyes.
