Overall when I look at the AD now it seems more competent and organized. Shortly after coming in BBB addressed most of the things that were nagging us for a while.

So I am happy and continuing to contribute.

He did mention that he would like to play GTown and Maryland, didn't say if it is a home and home though.
He would, but Georgetown won't even play us as a guarantee game. They see the risk in playing us being greater than any return because we are local. If they want to play an A10/American level team with our profile, they'll play someone outside of the region.

Maryland is different, given their financial situation. Its why they agreed to move their game vs Illinois to MSG recently; they needed the $$ the conference was willing to pay to make the move. They are trying to limit their guarantee games, but want to be selective in who they play on the road. Its possible we could get agree to 2 games in College Park for 1 in Fairfax. My UMD friends tell me this was discussed last summer but probably won't know anything concrete until this coming summer.

I know this is early to be discussing this, but other than the Cancun tournament, next year's OOC should be wide open, right? We have finished our home and home with JMU, W&M, and Ga. Southern, and I believe the other OOC's were buy games.

This seems like a good place to post this:
https://twitter.com/EnthusiAdams/status/1103500437515325442
A-10 Average Budget $4.72M
1. Dayton $7.25M
2. SLU $6.9M
3. vcu $6.15M
4. URI $5.45M
5. Duquesne $5.2M
6. Richmond $4.75M
7. Fordham $4.55M
8. UMass $4.35
9. St Joe's $4.2M
10. George Mason $4.0M
11. St Bonaventure $3.8M
12. Davidson $3.35M
13. La Salle $3.27M
14. GW $3.2M

Lets assume this is accurate (do we have a way to verify these?), I am shocked by what Fordham spends and Davidson's ROI is the best in the conference. As for us, discuss

Is there a breakdown on what we spend 4 million on?

I'd like to see how our budget has changed YoY (if at all) since Brad took over. If there's been a steady increase since TOC walked out the door then I wouldn't be that upset - we'd be showing improved commitment. If we haven't moved the needle much then where we fall on this list is even more disappointing.

I think it has improved, it was closer to 3-3.5 when they started (I think)

No, that’s always been the problem — comparing apples to apples — because schools report budget items differently

Im sure we can identify whats important.

1. Recruiting Budget
2. Head Coach Salary
3. Assistant Coaches Salary a,b &c.
4. Travel Budget
5. Marketing/Promo

Also, what revenue is it bringing in.

FWIW, I remember back in the CAA days we ranked 4th in budget behind vcu, ODU and JMU.

I know everyone reports budget differently, but I wonder how different these rankings would be if we got to some sort of apples-to-apples comparison. Fordham is the only outlier for me, otherwise, I probably could have guessed the top 4 spending schools were Dayton, vcu, SLU and URI. I might not have gotten them all in order, but I'm not shocked those are the top 4 spenders.
