They have?

Look at the giveaways, students get a shot at 200 bucks nearly every game, and other things.

Someone in the nosebleeds gets a hook up to sit courtside at the 16 minute media timeout.

T-shirts are a crap shoot.

Yea, we used to have a T-Shirt Guy who purposefully never threw to our season ticket sections, because, well, we come to the game regardless. Thank goodness he was relieved of his duties a while ago.
Several of the promotions this year were student only, such as hats (pretty nice embroidered ones too) at the last game.

Glad to see things are changing.

How about give aways to season ticket holders we actually care about. Who here actually wears that Glory Days jersey that looks like you could buy it in the kids section at Target? I'd take a beanie over that any day.

Years ago, I suggested that tickets are given to season ticket holders for giveaways that only they can get. That was implemented, so you don't have to worry about being the first one in the arena to get a shirt or whatever the giveaway is. I have picked up my merchandise after the game, and haven't had an issue once.

That much is good. I'm talking about the actual giveaway. I personally like the bobbleheads. I wouldn't mind one of DP or BE, or even Cabrera for that matter. Having a "zero waste" tshirt that goes in my dresser and never moves doesn't do it for me. But then again, I'm an old, bitter man.

GIVING DAY 2023
By firing Hewitt and hiring DP, Brad already has achieved legend status in my book.

I really only want him to do 2 more things as AD -- MBB practice facility and new/renovated arena -- and he can spend the rest of his days cashing Mason's checks and sipping margaritas.

You mean you don't care about who he hires to coach the cross country team???

I love the bobble heads too. Imagine a DP Bobblehead... his head is already dis-proportionally huge. Lot's of brain to rebuild a program.

His head can be bigger than Gunston's for all I care if he keeps coaching the way he is. I remember some guy on our sideline who dressed like he came out of GQ. How did that work out? :bricks:

The jerseys they gave out at homecoming are clutch. I've worn mine non-stop and I've see a bunch of people wear them around campus. Even saw one on the broadcast last night behind our bench.

I would rather have the opportunity to buy a legit Adidas jersey with the correct font and colors.
I don't understand why they can't routinely sell both in the bookstore. I'm sure Adidas would provide the real ones. And the cheaper ones like the promo would be a big hit with undergrads if they were sold at like $20. I wear the two promo ones I have so much the screen printing is cracking. If I could buy replacement ones all year I'd be pumped.

It doesn't even have to be an authentic one - I'll take a screen printed as long as the font and colors are correct. I just want it at minimum to look like a real jersey.

To me, not getting the font correct on those giveaway jerseys is complete laziness. They obviously were able to do a custom font, how hard is it to get that right?

Yeah I mean it should be better but with the amount of other schools crap that gets worn around campus I'm just happy there's something students will wear

"The cage gym was one of the few large areas Club Sports, and the greater student body, can use consistently to play sports regardless of the weather. I have been at Mason since Fall 2012. There has rarely been a day that the Cage Gym was not fully occupied for at least a majority of the day."

Justin can send me the highlights when Club Shuffleboard's amazing rally is covered on NBC Sports.

If I were advising the AD, I think some effort could be made to speak to the person who initiated this petition to explain the plan and provisions for the RAC users to minimize the "loss" of the Cage gym, private funding, non-use of student fees, etc. Or maybe getting the student newspaper to cover the issue and present both sides.

"I love the passion of both sides of this issue. The AD needs to be proactive in explaining how the planned renovations to certain other parts of the RAC will sufficiently accommodate the students' needs, given the loss of access to the Cage Gym."

You could but would it be a good use of his time? 400 people have signed. I guarantee that if I walked around Mason I could get 400 people to support repealing the 19th amendment. The funds are there and it's happening. These kids are fighting a battle that was lost before they even knew they wanted to fight it.
