Hmm - based on that video looks like he plays the 4 with another big typically at the 5, would take him either way

a step up from GWU
but he did transfer down from Va Tech
unless his injury fully heals, he has no chance to be a starter or even in the 8-9 man rotation in the Big 10

You'll get no criticism from me over expressing an honest opinion. I felt the same way about Bryson Cokley's videos. We are going to need at least one, preferably two bigs, unless Kanga shows he is a day one starter. Freshman bigs are rarely ready early on.

Not trying to compare the 2, but Jalen barely got off the bench for an ACC team and ended up making all-conference in both the SoCon and A-10.

It’s extremely difficult to be successful as a 6-8 post in the power conferences. Would I take a combo of Strong and Adebayo at the two forward spots for Mason? In a New York minute.

Strong also improved from barely playing his freshman year at BC to being mostly a starter and 3rd leading scorer, he improved dramatically from freshman to sophomore year. Julian did the opposite at GT.

BC was horrendous. Easily one of the bottom 5 power 5 programs in the country now. With that said, no clue on him, one guy doesn't make a team. I just don't feel like hes a 5 in any shape of form. He's more a 4, but maybe Tony would rather run that 2 forward 3 guards lineup if the 2 Forwards can shoot. TBD... He did shoot 36% on 69 attempts. What's his defense like?

As far as Gio yeah no surprise. Was surprised when he didn't enter portal right away. The Offense has to get better for Tony to win the A10 and I think he knows that. This will be the next progression putting the defense and Offense together!

I agree after seeing his video that he is a 4 and not a 5, my initial thought of him as a 5 was based on him being nearly 240 lbs

All indications are that the staff is beating the bushes for long,athletic, skilled explosive Perimeter players and Tall, long athletic skilled explosive bigs..regardless of competition level(juco, international, d3,d2, d1) everywhere.

Again, I don’t think this is a huge loss. We’ve got Hill now that doesn’t shoot too well and brings all the best of what DHS could. Not sure we need another guy that shoots even worse. 50% from the line and 20% from deep doesn’t fit what we should be looking for IMO.

No problem having a slasher on the team, but you run into a problem when you have too many who can’t shoot because you can’t put them on the floor together.
