Happy with the additions of Adebayo and Hill. But, as many have said we now need to get some guys with can nail the 3. Consider the numbers from returning and incoming players from the 3 point line. I did not include Stas, Cokley, etc. because the sample sizes were too small.

O'Connor 32-85 (37.6%)
Begg 16-48 (33.3%) (Yes, I know his 2nd half numbers were much better)
Hill 22-95 (23.2%)
Adebayo 22-72 (30.6%)

Total: 92-300 (30.6%) which would have ranked 327th nationally this past season.

This past year we shot 35.5% which ranked us 90th in the nation.
Haynes is roughly a career 15% shooter from 3 while Adebayo is close to 31%(double haynes). That in itself is a win. He can legitimately spread and force the opponent's shot blocker out to guard him and clear the lane for driving to the bucket.

It's in NC. I actually coached a young man in YMCA bball who went on to play there.
They have a good program.

Its actually in SC..... I played them in football many times when I was playing. Small school, beautiful campus.

Sorry, have to keep deleting and updating the spreadsheet to correct eligibility and targets who have visited - just added Kam Martin
Why would he want to leave Long Beach....lost their last 15 games in a 7-25 season!

I know this is like a broken record, but I absolutely HATE the state of college basketball with the portal and unlimited NIL money. Completely ruining the game.
These guys are no longer playing for the name on the front of the jersey. The name on the back is all that matters to them.

This is absolutely spot on. Don't ever call them student/athletes again. Every transfer means lost credits. Most of these kids will never graduate or have a marketable skill.

I personally don’t see Adebayo as a center, seems to slot more as a PF when he played us.

Nice generalization, but for many players the open transfer rules are a lifeline to be able to find a spot where they can make an impact. While the constant turnover is annoying, it also gives coaches who are effective at roster-building a chance to reload more quickly and even upgrade the overall talent.

I liked getting to follow players’ development over four years as much as anyone, but what I really want is for Mason to have a winning team and Tony has proven he knows how to build a winner in this current system. Unfortunately that means some guys have to go.

I get that. But, generalizations, like stereotypes, don't materialize out of thin air. There is always a cause behind them.

He's definitely more of a stretch 4. It's not fair to compare him position-wise to Haynes, who is much more of a force in the post. Although they are both great athletes and a challenge to cover one-on-one, Adebayo can hopefully be more of a matchup nightmare for bigger defenders who have to play him on the perimeter and worry about him shooting from deep or taking them off the dribble.
