Do you think it’s at the Al McGuire center because we’re not viewed as a big enough opponent for the bucks arena? The nba schedule isn’t out yet . I’m hopeful we will be viewed as a big time opponent soon with the positive gains under Tony Skinn.
It has nothing to do with that. Marquette is doing something cool for their students, and making it a "students only" game.

Marquette has long been my random non-connection program I support for no reason outside of Mason so this game pleases me a lot.

They feel we are the equivalent of the blind sisters of Lake Michigan

correct.

We probably have a few of our crappy buy games to be announced still. Hopefully only 1 or 2 of those.

Maybe we'll get a 3rd home and home to add to Tulane/ECU. Of the 5, I'd like to see:

1 h/h
3 buys
1 neutral

I'm not sure if the neutral game is possible, so I wouldn't be surprised if we take another game at a Power 5 making it that we play 2 buy games and the 3rd is the MTE at Marquette.

Brutal for the folks in the ticket office.

Great for a team with expectations trying to build a resume, should be multiple quality road opportunities.

From a fan perspective this is a really shitty conference slate. Not really much we can do about it, thought we had a great home slate last year in conference, but I feel bad for the folks trying to get butts in seats for some of these Feb games.

On June 26 we are assured of the following road games:

Duke
Marquette
Dayton
vcu
SLU

Potentially 5 Q-1 games. Not bad at all.

hopefully all 5 are quad 1, the only ones that may not be are vcu and slu. Not sure how good slu will be although I expect much improvement with Scherz. They’ll be a popular offseason championship pick.

I didn't see one made yet but figure this would be a good way to track it. Keeping this as the main schedule post.

I know @MasonFanatic helped out last year.

Home to Tulane - date TBD
Away to ECU - date TBD (maybe Saturday November 16th?)

@marquette- Nov 8th
Stony brook - Nov 11th
Central Michigan-Nov 13th
Unc Asheville - Dec 3
@duke Tuesday December 17th per Rothstein-bot
Upenn December 22nd
In Palm's bracketology, out of our opponents he has:
Duke and Marquette as 3 seeds
Dayton 11 seed
SLU 2nd team out

Unfortunately, we only have one game each against Dayton and SLU, both away

Dayton just announced a H & H series with Marquette starting this year. Sucks we have to be “bought” to play them.
Dayton has been, shall we say, just a bit more successful than Mason over the past decade-plus lol … and they still struggle to get good teams to play them at home.

Good on Shaka for taking the game but he wouldn’t have done it when Dayton was loaded last season.
