Here’s a question for the gold room ticket crowd, would you be willing to forgo the gold room if they spent that money on a more open access festival-like atmosphere outside the arena before every home game to entice more students to come, to hype them up before they enter the arena and they’d be more willing to do stuff like this during the game?

And I mean EVERY home game (now that’s on the admin to stick with it).

Edit: I realize this is a bit of an unfair question to ask. Mason should be able to do both, but it is Mason and my expectations for multi-tasking and competence is pretty low.

I’m sure VA’s dumb liquor laws would prevent the second part from happening.

MD and VA—weird antiquated liquor laws…always thought it was strange when I was living in those two states.

PS: remember going to the chili cook off a few times and they gave you vouchers for free beers (I think two). But that was DC, not sure how it would work in VA with the aforementioned laws.

If SLU wins, they move to 4-0 and clearly are in the driver's seat for a top 4 spot in the league, which makes it harder for Mason to grab a double-bye with vcu, Dayton, Bonnies contending for those slots as well, to say nothing of Davidson, St. Joe's, and perhaps GW and URI.

On the other hand, who would feel good rooting for vcu in this one?!

I know some disagree, but I don't care who they are playing, any vcu loss is a cause for rejoicing.

NEVER the hipsters and their no running water city. As far as top 4. It's really going to take beating out one of the 4 St Louis, Bonnies, Dayton or vcu, don't think anyone else is that close maybe Rhode Island or GW? That's it though. St Joes doesn't have a coach and Davidson will be at the bottom.

Dayton has already lost to UMass and GW. The Bonnies just lost to La Salle (at home). The top 4 is not set in stone this year!

Was able to watch the first half but not the second. Neither team looked unbeatable. Weird to see vcu not play all out pressure D.

Avila, Jimerson, and Swope are all very skilled but Jimerson and Avila look like they’ll have a hard time with our physicality. Avila looks a little like Josh Oduro before he lost weight (just a much better FT shooter). I think senior year Oduro would have eaten his lunch.

vcu missed 44 shots in the game but got 22 offensive rebounds. The rams wound up taking 73 shots for the game, while the Billikens took only 37!
