2022 Coaching Carousel

1. His newspaper is the Knoxville Sentinel. The Tennessean is based in Nashville, three hours away.

2. Clearly you didn't get past the headline and actually read the article. Joe Rexrode, the local sports commentator for the Tennessean, was not going after Barnes but the anonymous cowards at UCLA.

* UCLA people, after conducting a search goofy enough to earn a spot in the Tennessee Football 2017 Coaching Search Hall of Fame, decided to torch Barnes without having the courage to put their names on the torches. Which is ridiculous.

But dig in and get angry rather than admit you don't know everything. It worked out really well w/your "Tyler Kolek is going to suck" and I'd rather have "GW's Chase Paar over Josh Oduro" previous analysis.

(whoops, that'd now be Towson's Chase Paar)

If they are they are more desperate than an SEC school should be

Well, we are somewhat desperate. Haha.

Kim English is certainly well-liked in Missouri. There is the thought that it is too much of a gamble, but who knows at this point. Not to be a bearer of bad news, but it sounds like Kim is being linked to the Kansas State opening as well. Still very early and at most just preliminary stuff at this early juncture.

I would have loved for Cuonzo Martin to have won more in Columbia and for Kim to stay at George Mason and win for a long time and then maybe someday he could come back to his alma mater. I don't think it is all that likely that we make a run at Coach English and who knows, he is a Baltimore guy, so he could just opt to stay even if it is offered.

This is honestly the best news we’ve gotten all year. The one job we feared English would leave for opened up at a time when he’s not ready to take it. Now it will be at least three or four more years before that job comes open, assuming they don’t completely butcher the next hiring.

"I' believe that Mizzou is one of the best men's basketball coaching jobs in the country,' Reed-Francois said. 'Our University is the flagship institution of our great state and a member of the Southeastern Conference, the premier league in college athletics. We are located in a recruiting hotbed and there's incredible alignment between our department and our President and Board of Curators. We have—and will—continue to invest in our men's basketball program and I look forward to introducing the new leader of our program to our community in the near future. We will work quickly and expeditiously to find the candidate who is the best fit to continue building our championship culture.'"

Don’t read twitter or a few news outlets who are saying CKE is one of the top candidates. It would not shock me if they did go after him as he would be cheaper now than he would be in a couple more years if he is successful here.
