I'm just trying to imagine what type of transfer big we'd be in the market for and why we'd be anymore successful with getting a quality transfer big to commit than an incoming freshman big.Let's see what happens with transfers at the end of the season. At this rate, there will be at least two scholarships available.
The coaching staff may be able to fill the front court void via transfers rather than high school players. Given the current trends, I'm assuming that any transfer will be available to play immediately next year. It's a different modus operandi for DP, but the new realities of college hoops will force him to adapt.
Historically it hasn't worked out well for Mason. I know it's a whole new world and all, but it's still a level playing field. When a player is a known quantity, it seems more of an advantage for the p5s. Mason will get the leftovers that are thought to not be worth significant minutes at a p5. And then they'll still have to win the recruiting battle against other mid-majors.
