You know who else was 6’2? Marquise Moore. Bryon Allen was 6’3. Dre Smith was 6’0 and played the 2 for us.
6-2 is to small for a SG. Especially in modern basketball. You need to be long enough to defend the 3. That’s my point. Moore was a PG.

DJ3, you must not follow Mason closely if you think Otis wasn’t playing point while Moore was here.

Our starting lineup for Moore’s junior and senior seasons went Otis, Moore, Grayer. Moore was guarding all 5 positions sometimes.

A combo guard who averaged 12.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game during the 2005–2006 season.

It’s 2019 now and a SG should be at least 6-4.

I agree, a Star Gate that is not at least that high will be extremely annoying for aliens from planets with much lower gravity to pass through, since they typically average at least 8 feet in height.

Placing arbitrary requirements on recruiting will severely narrow your ability to recruit. Physical traits are only one criteria to consider. Others include skill-set, demeanor, character, attitude, IQ, etc.

Tell you what, you might be happier, and make everyone else on this forum ecstatic, if you quit your fantasy-coach and AD job. It's a win-win proposition.

Again Javon is a PG.. a pure SG should be at least 6-4

I rest my case.:(

So, as long as he's classified as a PG on the recruiting page, we can play him wherever we want?

By the way, Michael Jordan was 6'6 and played shooting guard for UNC in 1981, so I don't think the time period has anything to do with the height of the players.

I guess the purpose of this basketball forum is to be a Homer and act like DP is doing a great job. He sucks. He can’t land any big recruits. That’s why he has a losing record. I rest my case.

The Average Height of College Basketball Players
These are the general guidelines for size requirements coaches look for in a basketball player. If you fall outside of these marks it doesn’t mean you can’t play at that level only that it might be more difficult.
This site chart says 6'3+ for a SG

no further evidence needed. You made your point.

Come back in March and collect your I-told-you-sos.

I fed up with all the homers. I am a true fan of Mason, and acting as if everything is OK only enables the problem to continue.

Me sorry. None of us have any affiliation with the University nor do we have any say in the hiring or firing of the coaching staff. Perhaps you should talk to the atheletic director. Note that you are a "true fan" in the subject line of your email and use a plain text attachment for your height chart so he doesn't think it's a virus.
