2020 Recruiting

How many d1, high mid major schools ie. (Gonzaga, Witchita Stat, Dayton, Butler, Xavier, vcu, etc, etc.) have guards leading their team in rebounding? Im not saying its bad to have a set of strong, tough guards but is that a formula for a winning team? I think Calixte has the potential, but we are getting nothing from Reuters, Marr.
Im sure Paulson realizes this but for whatever reason we just cant get the players. Thus to me its about his inability to recruit. So can a really good coach produce a winning team with below level athletes? Unfortunately, to me, the whole recruiting game is a mystery.

Davidson’s Gundmundsson leads rebounding from the wing.

Houston’s Armoni Brooks leads rebounding from the wing.

Wichita State’s Erik Stevenson is second in rebounding.

Temple’s Nate Pierre-Louis is second in rebounding (.3 rpg behind the leader).

I do get what you are saying, though, about our forwards slacking on the rebounding. If you combined Reuter, Calixte, and Mar’s rebounding totals you would equal one good rebounding forward. That’s not good and a big reason why we keep getting out rebounded.

Mar’s 7 in the last game is hope for improvement.

Calixte also has 5, 4, and 6 since starting to play real minutes, which is also promising.

Reuter...um....he uh....not the player we thought we were getting?

Great! Another 2 star/undersized player.

3 star on 247. Uva, gtown, Maryland, curse and gw on his list. Gw and us are only schools to have made offers.

That's twice as many stars than in our entire solar system, pretty impressive.

It’s undersized, too. Imagine it trying to get a shot off with Betelgeuse guarding it.

Leggett has been offered by La Salle as well, according to Verbalcommits.

6’2 really isn’t really undersized for a college shooting guard.

The teams below generally do well in the A10. I looked up their starting guards. I don’t know who is a PG or a SG. Nonetheless, 6-2 seems to be on the short side.

URI Guards-
Jeff Dowtin- 6-3
Christion Thompson- 6-4
Tyrese Martin 6-6
Omar Silverio- 6-4

Davidson-
Jon Axel Gudmunsson- 6-5
Carter Collins- 6-3
Kishawn PRitchett- 6-6
Luke Frampton- 6-5

vcu-
Deriante Jenkins - 6-5
Marcus Evans- 6-2
Mike Simms- 6-5
Vince Williams 6-6
Malik Crowfield 6-4

Dayton-
Jalen Crutcher- 6-1
Jordan Davis- 6-2
Trey Landers 6-5

URI's best guard is 6'3, vcu's best guard is 6'2, and Dayton's best guard is 6'1. Excellent point! Really wish we hadn't recruited 6'2 Lamar Butler - he really struggled to get his shot off against those giants from Uconn!

Great! Another 2 star/undersized player.

It's not about the size of the boat, but it's the motion of the ocean.... wait never mind, that only applies to guys with small dicks. How about its not about the size of the dog in the dog fight but the size of the fight in the dog. The kid is only 16 or 17 years old. Still plenty of time to grow.

You know who else was 6’2? Marquise Moore. Bryon Allen was 6’3. Dre Smith was 6’0 and played the 2 for us.
