Duquesne just beat out TCU, St John's, Georgetown, New Mexico and Washington St for a 6 foot 8 big man freshman...... f**kING DUQUESNE
Now that Kier is out, I say bring on Otis III!
Thats interesting, considering he's listed as shorter than Abram. But I like the comparison. He definitely would bring some more athleticism to the team.Just watched some Otis III video this morning, and you know who he reminds me of? A taller Deandre Abram. Not super polished now, but maybe there’s some potential there? He’s at least tall and athletic, two things you can’t teach.

But I do think he'd be a good addition to this class. For those saying Daddy isn't ready, it would at least give him some competition for backup minutes at the 3. Its the only position I could see us adding a player at other than the 5.
Otis Frazier III or Cam Bryant. either or make sense.
make sure you add Prestigious Georgia Southern with remarkable facilities and $$ when you speak on their name. They have an unfair advantage to recruiting because of $$ spent and facilities.... oh waitCam Bryant committed to Georgia Southern last night.

I don't think Bryant was that good so I am not upset.... Go try and get the Monmouth kid or one of the bigs available that could play immediately not another project freshman
Dude we don't even know how interested Mason was in Bryant or vice versa, unless you do. If you do, it doesn't have to be for public consumption. Its all good, lol.
Just go get a transfer to help the program in my opinion. Grad transfer, regular transfer whatever. Don't hold it, and don't use it on an under the radar freshman.
I don't know of any bigs still available, all the top ones are gone obviously other than Silva. I'd gladly take Salnave even if he is something Mason has a lot of, in my opinion.
Given how injuries have gone for us the last few years, I think we need a warm body who is proven to play at the D1 level at any position. Obviously I think we have glaring needs to eat up minutes at the 3 and 5, but honestly I'd take any transfer at this point who has proven they can be serviceable at this level so that we are ready when the injuries start to roll in.
Miller is the 3. Don’t think we have a “glaring need” there.
Who backs him up though? Boyd splits time between the 2-3, but outside of that we have no other SF.
It is a solid trio, the only problem being having 3 good options for 2 positions doesn't necessarily equal depth. If one of those guys goes down, the other two suddenly have to play 40 minutes a game because we don't have anyone else who is big/quick enough to play the 3.You answered your own question. Barring injury or foul trouble, we have Miller-Greene-Boyd splitting most of the 80 minutes at the 2 and 3. That’s a pretty strong trio.

Jim you better remember you say this when god forbid Greene for instance gets hurt, we suck and then you blame injuries for why we suck. We just can’t keep having it both ways. We need a quality 3 or 5 that can play mins today to prevent these issues. Unless Daddy does a 180 this summer and becomes college ball ready or kolek grows another 2-3 inches and is ready to go right away. The reality is with a 13-man roster nobody has that much depth at any one position. We have a bunch of young wing players and if we have injuries, they’ll have to step up and play backup minutes just like they would for any other program.
