2019 Transfer Thread

Looking through an updated list on https://watchstadium.com/news/compr...e-basketball-players-transferring-12-29-2018/ I saw Thomas Bruce listed from Binghamton U
(https://bubearcats.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11629). He is a DeMatha grad.

I remember him giving us fits two seasons ago (to be fair, most bigs have given us fits). He did not play this season due to concussion symptoms

Binghamton! I saw this too and nearly posted. I think a healthy Thomas Bruce would help GMU. I believe he'd have to sit out a year though.

Someone needs to explain the logic of noting every transfer kid who went to HS in VA/MD here. Program has literally never had a transfer come here based on that.

It doesn't happen often but it does happen. Byron Tucker was huge (son Bryson is 13 in Bowie, BTW).

Maryland native. Sit 1, play 3.

Averaged 6.9 PPG as a freshman, had several double-figure games in non-conference but playing time fell off some in CAA play.

Scored over 2,000 points in HS.

Would be a replacement for Kier/Boyd starting in 2020-21.

You can do that kind of thing in the ACC. Dixon even said he picked NC State because he wants to make it to the NCAA tournament. He’s not gonna make waves if he barely plays.

Good luck selling that at Mason.

Hopefully we won't have to worry about it and we'll be able to sign a freshman worthy of the scholarship... it looks like there still might be some out there.

I know he wasn’t great but I never understood why we pushed him out, especially in hindsight.

This is where the roster management at the 5 went down hill. Instead of having a tall body to throw in until we found better pieces that could prove to play over him, we got nothing.

not a Paulsen fan as you might know.... but I absolutely need to defend him on this one... Danny Dixon could not walk and chew gum at the same time when he showed up on Mason's campus and up to when he left...

He had a decent stat line at one of the worst college basketball teams that plays in one of the worst college basketball conferences......

Keatts is going to fire the assistant that made this move very shortly after Danny Dixon steps foot on their campus....

What is next... Kam Murrell should be back because he once scored double digits in a D3 game?!?
