I am also resigned to being a middle of the pack A10 team for the foreseeable future given the variables impacting the program.
I think I got there in early Feb (the game at Richmond) and will be resigned to that fact until I'm proven otherwise.

Hey, at least you get into the games for free. It pains me to say this after having my season tickets for almost 20 years, but I'm starting to get to the point where I have to question spending several thousand dollars a year on our program. Between my frequent business travel and my teenage kids having something every night of the week, I oftentimes end up giving my tickets away or wasting them (including my parking and Patriot Club passes).

Please don’t give up your seats. ;-)

I find the boards more entertaining with the more negative posters, even though it might be repetitive. It creates more discussion on both sides to get a better view from all angles.

Now, I am less vested in the success of the team/program/coach/AD than most. I am also resigned to being a middle of the pack A10 team for the foreseeable future given the variables impacting the program.

I follow the team purely for entertainment purposes. I get as much entertainment whether we win or lose now. It took me a while to get here, but it is a nice place to be.
In that case, I'm BACK!

If I inevitably renew again and can't make a game, I'll definitely keep you guys in mind. One thing I will never do is put my tickets up for sale on a site where opposing fans can buy them. The people in section 117 would put a bounty on my head if vcu fans ended up there.

Tom, why not buy 2 tickets instead of 4? on game days that you can bring your entire family, just buy two more? I was able to buy 5-6 seats for homecoming right next to my season ticket seats. My wife only likes coming to weekend games...it's not worth buying 2 season tickets, when I only have a need for one (me).

That's definitely a possibility, but I probably used all four of my tickets about 7 or 8 times last year — which makes it worth it to keep all 4. What I hate is eating my Gold Room and parking passes, because those went unused several times when I was traveling and emailed my tickets to someone else. It would be nice if we could email the Gold Room and parking passes as well as the tickets.

Yeah exchanging room passes is a huge pain point. Wish they’d figure that out. A small group of us will exchange tickets when out of town etc. But always have to scramble for passes so guests can come into GR.

Buying parking passes is one of the most unneeded expenditures ever.

I would definitely agree on a lot of nights, but it definitely comes in handy when school is in session and there are a bunch of students on campus for night classes. I've had some games years ago before getting the pass when I was in the back of K lot, which was closer to the old Mason Inn than the arena.

I split season tickets to a G-League team with my dad, at a level that includes access to their club and VIP parking. They have added the club and parking access to the bar code of the ticket, so you just scan in with the parking attendant, and scan into the "gold room." Then they slap one of those stupid paper bracelets on you so you can come and go. Seems simple enough for Mason to do that? An added bonus is that, since access is in the bar code, it transfers to the buyer if you sell/give away your tickets.

To each their own, my man. If that's what you like, that's what you like.

I actually don't mind well reasoned criticism. If it's a good point, it's a good point. Those I have on ignore tend to be pretty dumb, so I don't think what they have to say holds much value. Again, though, no judgement here on you.

To be fair, the ones you ignore are dumb because they make valid pts. you don't agree with? It's nauseating reading the homers posts on here.

maybe back then it was necessary but on school nights since middle of Hewitt era you can show up whenever and get parking wherever really

Not everyone can be as eloquent (read wordy) as you and I. ;-)

I also have sympathy for the uber negative posters in here. After the Saint Mary’s game in Hawaii On Christmas Day 2013, I became totally negative about Hewitt and anyone else that could not see it. Ironically, we won that game, but in a pitiful manner.

So, I understand where they are with Paulsen. I don’t agree, yet, but I can see why they view the program the way they do. I was very high on Edwards and Paulsen in the early stages, but, they have both lost a lot of the luster. To use a car analogy, I thought we had a Porsche 911 Gt3 and a Corvette ZR1, but I now feel we may have a Camry and Accord, fine, dependable, may even get us where we want to go, just more slowly. They just aren’t as exciting as I originally thought they were.

We may still have a Porsche and a Corvette but they are driving on something that looks like this:

And so what we really need is a Range Rover, a gosh darn Abrams tank and a leveler and blow some sh*t up.
