So what do you think the staff wants now? Jahmir young and then BPA(possible names)?

First PG and first SF to commit get the last two scholarships.

Lots of quality guys still on our board at both positions. I like our chances of getting two high-level players, no matter who they may be.

We're the only team without a true center on his offer list, but we came in later it looks like. Hopefully Xavier picks up another center.

Also, has anyone else noticed that us and Penn St are in on a ton of the same players? There anything to that?

I suspect it’s a coincidence, but it’s probably Paulsen and co attending the same recruitment weekends as Pat Chambers and his co. They also may look for similar qualities or something of that nature.

I know I always preach size, but I think Mason Jamal Hartwell will be special. He reminds me of Joey Rodriguez from the vcu final 4 team. Quick 1st step, and quick release.

Zach Freemantle, a 6'9" PF/C from Bergen Catholic in North Jersey, just committed to Xavier. He had offers from several ACC/Big Ten schools.

Tough to say how that impacts Xavier's recruitment of Robert Jones.

Not to be flip, but I'm not even sure what a true center is in college or pro basketball these days. There are obviously some exceptions as cited above, but I would say more often than not a big guy with limited range and quickness can be a liability.

More and more, the game is evolving into mobile big men like Reuter who are adept in the post but also have no problem stepping out and knocking down a three. Guys like Shevon Thompson are an anomaly in today's game.

According to a highlight real, obviously the most reliable source.... He shot 40% from three.

Just read an article on the kid....he seems very high on PSU. They were first in for him and the coaches talk to him every other day. Him landing there seems pretty likely.

Yeah I mean you're not wrong in saying that college ball is going positionless. I would say in the A10 though if you can find a serviceable guy who is 6'9 or up it gives you a pretty big advantage in a way it wouldn't in one of the P5 conferences where even the smallest guys tend to be like 6'5.

We've done well rebounding relative to our size, and a lot of that is credit to Paulsen. I just wouldn't mind having a Mike Mo sized guy out there if they also have quick hands and feet. It's a shame DP didn't have another year or so with Shevon.

With Oduro committed, I would be shocked if there is another big in the 2019 class. No need to have four guys vying for playing time at one position.

Also, forget about us having another “true center” as long as Paulsen is our coach. True centers who can do what he demands end up at Kentucky or Duke, not George Mason.

We’re a perimeter-oriented team that plays with a PF at center and some rotation of four guards/wings. That’s not changing.

Nailed it on the head. Don't why some in the fan base, after watching his style for four years, still don't grasp this concept.
