Offerered Jordan Miller of Loudoun Valley. Kid can ball but slightly surprised...think we're by far the biggest school to offer so far.
If Hewitt believed the magic height was 6'7.. i think Paulsen believes it is 6'4.
Seems like we are making a concerted effort to do a little more locally. Probably a good idea considering the mediocre attendance.
His offer list is going to blow up so it's a good thing we're in on him early. It's the only chance we have to get kids like Miller who will eventually have P-5 offers to choose from.
I tend to agree but wouldn't say that's by any means a gimme. Guy led his team to a state title at 22 a game and is good size for a shooting guard/perhaps 3. Usually if you do that after your junior year you have hard offers. This is Miller's first DI offer and not like he's an unknown commodity.
I have heard conflicting things from people more in the know than me about what type of school Miller projects at. No one objective I've talked to has even mentioned P-5. Not saying I don't like it--would love to see him play for Mason.
Urbach is having a good AAU season and is an example of what I just said. He's a 6'4" SG (good size) that I believe has quite a few more offers than Miller despite not even being the best player on his team last year.
You are certainly right and Mason could wind up being Miller's best offer. I would be fine with that because I think the kid's best basketball is ahead of him and frankly our staff is doing a great job of identifying and landing under-recruited prospects (Otis, Jaire, Kier, Boyd, Wilson all qualify).
Personally I can't figure out why Miller hasn't gotten low DI offers yet. Was wondering that all year.
Seems that Virginia's public school players get less and less respect every year.
I blame Patrick HollowaySeems that Virginia's public school players get less and less respect every year.
PVI public school definitely to blame..I blame Patrick Holloway
Whoops! Forgot he was PVI. I blame VA Catholic schools!PVI public school definitely to blame..

Maybe because Loudoun Valley was 4A. Only thing I can think of but I think LV this year was as good as anyone public or private statewide, any level, only exception probably Trinity.
This info is all great, but can someone please post a link to a tweet about it? Otherwise I don't believe it.
