I'm steeling myself not to be overly disappointed with a less-than-stellar start. I'm remembering last year losing 3 out of our first 4 with some of those mediocre-at-best programs. Heck, Mt. St. Marys beat only us in their first 12 games. And then we got absolutely waxed by Houston.

However, DP got them turned around and we wound up having a decent year. With some significant adjustments needed this year because of the loss of Moore and Jenkins, I need to convince myself not to be too carried away with the new season.

The Auburn game and the Louisville game should be available to stream on WatchESPN.

That Mount team went 20-16, 14-4 and was knocked out of the NCAA by Villanova after advancing in First Four. Early losses were due to brutal P5 buy games to build budget. Very good team.

It's fine to be the nasty boys of section 115 but it is not cool to be so freakin drunk that you fall down and smash some guy in the head
three rows in front of you!

Please tell me you are joking about Mason fans telling you not to be so loud at a BASKETBALL GAME.

We're not talking about THE LIBRARY.

Or CHURCH.

Or even a GOLF TOURNAMENT.

Not to sound like Allen Iverson, but we are talking about a BASKETBALL GAME.

You are supposed to stand up and yell. That's the entire point, to support your team and rattle the opposition.

Seriously, if this happens again, tell the offended person to go F himself and cheer even louder.

I also sit in section 115 and have a group of about 4 - 6 who sit directly in front of me. They actually complained to Andy Ruge about me last year. He came and sat across the aisle and watched me. To Andy's credit he left when he saw what was going on. I am loud, not profane, and enjoy competition as much as anyone. I was told by the dumbsh*t in front of me that I should not say anything or yell because he pays a higher donation to have his seats than I do mine. His wife told my friend that he should cup his hands and yell toward the ceiling if he felt the need to cheer. Sporting events are supposed to be loud in favor of the home team. I go knowing what to expect. Douchebag and his family don't grasp the concept. If they are in front of me again this year they are in for a treat.

If I recall correctly he also apologized and was embarrassed, it was like one row.

Sure we can get excited but I definitely think there isn't much cursing anymore. But I guess I'll have to sit at the game next week with my hands folded and politely golf clap when given permission lol

Box suits would solve the problem. He can go to his quietly happy place, and the rest of us can chear our asses off.

I mean they tell us but we don't listen lol. We also have older gentleman behind us that yells and spazzes out more than the rest of us combined. And he never listens to the Debbie downers

People wonder why the experience at EBA sucks, it’s a bunch of old farts who want a family friendly atmosphere. My alumni friends who maybe I can convince to come once a year laugh every time at these guys. I don’t need to be drunk off my a** and screaming for 2 hours but occasionally I want to be loud and stand without being told to sit down.

I don’t know how it started or whatever - and I agree. We don’t need to act like bafoons for 2 hours over everything but it’s nice to at least be enthusiastic especially when the team is doing well on a run or comeback or something.

And I'm pretty hard on officials when they screw up a call, which is pretty often.
