GIVING DAY 2023
I wonder whose decision it was to not do a Hurricane Relief exhibition.

Or maybe it was limited on how many games could be done for it.

Or maybe someone can just ask when they talk to the staff and they’ll share.

Section 115 should not get all the glory here. I sat in 117 for a few seasons and the old biddy in front of me told me not to clap so loud. Sorry, but I refuse to wear mittens under the Pat Dome!

No, wait, I'm not sorry. Not sorry at all!

Or maybe we'd prefer to scrimmage Temple and Va Tech instead of playing a DIII or NAIA school
I believe we could've actually added another scrimmage with a D1 team if it was for hurricane relief. It's not a big deal, I was just a tad bit surprised that we didn't take part in one.

Auburn's 2nd and 4th leading returning scorers (including their 6'11 260lb Center) are being held out as potentially having received payments, didn't even play in their exhibition loss to Barry.

Certainly doesn't hurt our chances.

Paulsen announces 2017-18 tri-captains

FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University men's basketball head coach Dave Paulsen has announced the program's 2017-18 team captains.

Junior Otis Livingston II will serve as a captain for the second-consecutive season, while junior Jaire Grayer and sophomore Justin Kier will be captains for the first time in their Mason careers.

A key block in the Mason foundation since the arrival of Paulsen, Livingston II has started all 68 games of his Patriot career while serving as the team's floor general. In a little over two seasons, the Linden, N.J., product has already registered 885 points and 225 assists. He's Mason's all-time leader in both career free throw percentage (.844) and single season percentage (.919).

Grayer has improved each season of his Mason tenure and has been huge for Mason through its first two 2017-18 contests, averaging 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor. He ranked third in the Atlantic 10 last season with a 44.9 percent 3-point mark in league play and increased his production to 12.2 points and 6.2 rebounds in A-10 games.

Kier made an immediate impact for the Patriots as a freshman, starting 29 of 33 games while averaging 5.8 points and leading the team in 3-point field goal percentage (.386). The Spotswood, Va., native already has made a huge jump as a sophomore. He's averaged 16.5 points over the first two games and is leading the Patriots in field goal percentage (.647).

The Patriots are back in action this Thursday (Nov. 16) vs. Binghamton inside EagleBank Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Gilbert initially choosing Minnesota never made much sense to me. Now he is sitting out a year after transferring to Rider. And he could have come to Mason and probably gained immediate playing time if he had just stayed with us to begin with.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but since they're on our schedule of course....the Bonnies are off to a great start. Jaylen Adams hurt, lose to Niagara by 2 - and game tonight against UMES may be cancelled due to campus wide power outage.

That’s a forfeit isn’t it?

Sounds like they are going to try and reschedule.
