He also predicted john crosby to Mason. But that situation was probably ruined by the buffoon we had as coach

Not landing him made a need for Otis so that worked out for us. I wasn't impressed with what I saw of Crosby last season anyways.

Crosby didn't end up here because his grades were shit and apparently his HS coach tried to hide that from the staff. Not surprised he ended up at a place like Dayton, shitty character.

Anything on AJ recently?

I was thinking about this as well. At this point I feel like its got to be eligibility reasons right? Like grades or something. It seems like he likes Mason. He recently retweeted the final 4 anniversary posts. I really want to see this kid in Green and Gold.

Between the university's admissions office and the NCAA clearinghouse, there are a lot of hoops to jump through to get athletes into school and eligible for competition.

As we've learned recently, this process can take longer to play out than we would like.

But we are starting from a better place with this one because we are 100 percent certain that the recruit's name is indeed AJ Wilson, he's an American citizen and his academic record belongs to him.

Hopefully this doesn't turn into another Mayimba fiasco where everything is up in the air indefinitely and nobody seems to know what's going on.

Just reading tea leaves, the fact that AJ hasn't committed somewhere else or announced he's prepping next year says to me that he is waiting for a verdict from Mason/NCAA before making his next move.

Likewise, the fact that the staff hasn't filled the last scholarship suggests that it is AJ's unless something comes down that prevents him from accepting it.

I could be totally wrong on this. I've got no inside info. Just guessing along with everyone else.

Still hoping AJ winds up at Mason. You can never have too many 6-7 freak athletes in my book.

We have some legit 2017 recruits visiting, if it doesn't work out I won't lose any sleep over it.

I agree to an extent, but it would be a steal to add an athlete like AJ at this late date. I certainly think the staff gives him the last scholarship if everything works out.

You never know when a kid is gonna get unhappy for whatever reason and look for greener pastures, so the "available scholarship" situation is always fairly fluid anyhow.

He did graduate. The write-up was incorrect.

But the fact that he's playing at an AAU event this summer sends a strong signal that he's gonna be a member of the 2017 recruiting class, which means a prep year.

With his athleticism and awareness that he needs to improve the range and consistency on his jumper, I will be shocked if Mason is still on his radar by the late signing period next spring.

HM means Hargrave Military Academy?

I bet he's going to prep.
