Well he didn't commit, so by that very definition, yeah it didn't go as I hoped.

That said, I've seen Jeremy play several times in person because I live in Richmond. He is a very talented kid. Great athlete.

I think Dowtin is a better fit for DP's system but obviously my opinion doesn't mean squat.

I value your opinion Jim

Unless George Mason blows him away this weekend, still scheduled to visit later this month.

Is George Mason capable of blowing anyone away? In anything?
They mentioned the band, which of course makes me happy! That being said, during the URI @ Mason game last season, one of the guys in my section started a cheer that went something like this:

Give me a U! (U!)
Give me an R! (R!)
Give me an I! (I!)
Give me an N! (N!)
Give me an E! (E!)
What does that spell! (URINE!)

The best part was that they were up by about 20 points and it still got to their bench:chuckle:

I did hear the Dowtin visit went "very well", but yeah , no commit.

If he wants to play right away and have his family watch him, Mason is the best place. If he wants to win right away and be far URI or Wichita are the places to go.

We'll see.

Dan Hurley's contract runs through 2022, but I highly doubt he's going to stay till then.

Lol, someone on their RI boards said that Mason hasn't done anything since 2006. I hope he realizes they haven't been to the NCAA since 1999. We've been 4 times since then. Hurley's contract runs through 2022. At the rate they're going, I HIGHLY doubt he stays the 7 years. I can see him leaving within 3 years.

Westfield SF Tyler Scanlon to Boston U. Recruiting gurus think he'll be immediate impact player in the Patriot League.

Guess either the staff has other guys they like better, Tyler wasn't interested in Mason or maybe some of both.

Either way, good luck to him.

GIVING DAY 2023
Temara has the look of a late-blooming kid who is going to have an excellent senior season and leave a lot of D-I staffs scratching their heads about why they didn't offer -- just like Ryan Pearson did when he went from a marginal D-I prospect to the Jordan Brand regional game and one of the top 3-5 players in NYC as a senior.

Between Dixon and Temara, it's once again obvious that DP desires versatile, skilled PFs who can face up and stretch the floor in the pick-and-pop game, but also post up and score in the paint.

We could be Bucknell South in that regard. I don't think that's a bad thing.

'16 SF Andre Wesson is taking his first official visit this weekend to George Mason

"The fall recruiting season is in full swing and we have you covered at Prep Hoops Ohio. Let's take a quick look at some of the top story lines surrounding the best prospects in Ohio.

  • 2016 Westerville South wing Andre Wesson is taking his first official visit of five to George Mason this weekend. Wesson received an offer from the Patriots in the middle of July, and is one of several talented 2016 prospects that GM is targeting. Evaluated by Akron, Bowling Green and Illinois State this week, Wesson is the top uncommitted senior in Central Ohio."
