Good luck to Sherm II.
Good luck to Sherm II.
What? I said "good luck."Wow that was brutal .
Very interesting if a Larranaga takes over a program ruined by Hewitt.....
Saw on Twitter that Dane Fischer is a candidate for the HC job at Dartmouth.
Selfishly hope he doesn't get it because he's DP's right-hand man and it would be nice to keep the staff together for a couple more years, but the reality is Dane will be running his own show somewhere sooner than later anyhow.
Also, it's a good sign that one of our coaches is already in demand. We couldn't give away our last staff even if we placed them in the clearance bin.
If Jay takes that job, he's a damn fool.
He has a great gig already and can pretty much wait to call his next shot. No need to go to a bottom-feeder that is still digging out from Hewittpocalypse I in the best league in America.
Total no-win situation there. Why go somewhere you're basically guaranteed to work your a** off and get fired anyhow?

Georgia Tech is having a hard time replacing Gregory. They are limited by having two former coaches they are still paying.
"If I had my personal choice of the above candidates, I have no idea what I'd do. It feels like Larrañaga is the biggest unknown (due to his lack of experience within the college basketball realm), Keatts has the highest ceiling but is a major risk of collateral damage from the ongoing investigation at Louisville, and McCall likely has the most pure "bust" potential. That leaves Kelsey as the safest hire of the bunch, as uninspiring to the fan base as it would potentially be."

Also, the AJC had a story on The Virus a few days ago. Well, not about The Virus but about how his players who made it to the championship game in 2004 don't feel the love from the fans because they played for PH.
Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN
10 openings left: Georgia Tech, Cornell, Delaware, Dartmouth, Detroit, NJIT, Nicholls State, South Dakota State, Stony Brook, Valparaiso.
Maybe G Tech will look at the bringing in Hewitt for a second look. What could go wrong?
