Good luck to Sherm II.

Reading the boards over there the fan base is getting edgy. They don't like how the administration is handling athletics - e.g. Their vision, strategy, and execution.

There is a post over there about ODU moving to the AAC and they are having conniptions.

If Jay takes that job, he's a damn fool.

He has a great gig already and can pretty much wait to call his next shot. No need to go to a bottom-feeder that is still digging out from Hewittpocalypse I in the best league in America.

Total no-win situation there. Why go somewhere you're basically guaranteed to work your a** off and get fired anyhow?

Saw on Twitter that Dane Fischer is a candidate for the HC job at Dartmouth.

Selfishly hope he doesn't get it because he's DP's right-hand man and it would be nice to keep the staff together for a couple more years, but the reality is Dane will be running his own show somewhere sooner than later anyhow.

Also, it's a good sign that one of our coaches is already in demand. We couldn't give away our last staff even if we placed them in the clearance bin.

Another job with a Williams connection. Dane's first assistant job was at Williams under DP. Then Dane was a finalist last spring for the Williams job - which ultimately went to an Army assistant. Now he is reportedly in the running for the Dartmouth job, where the AD (Harry Sheehy) is the former Williams AD and, before that, their long-time basketball coach. He was very successful in that role. A lot of people who follow Dartmouth basketball believe he already knew who he wanted for the Dartmouth job when he fired Paul Cormier, who had done a good job there. Many Dartmouth alums were not happy with that move. They expect a good season next year, with a lot of returning talent, and think Sheehy made the move now because it would have been impossible next year.

Hewpocalypse has a better ring...truly sounds like a medical condition.

When Dartmouth phones you have to take the call.

I'm surprised they're not going after Jay Wright.

Georgia Tech is having a hard time replacing Gregory. They are limited by having two former coaches they are still paying.

"If I had my personal choice of the above candidates, I have no idea what I'd do. It feels like Larrañaga is the biggest unknown (due to his lack of experience within the college basketball realm), Keatts has the highest ceiling but is a major risk of collateral damage from the ongoing investigation at Louisville, and McCall likely has the most pure "bust" potential. That leaves Kelsey as the safest hire of the bunch, as uninspiring to the fan base as it would potentially be."

Also, the AJC had a story on The Virus a few days ago. Well, not about The Virus but about how his players who made it to the championship game in 2004 don't feel the love from the fans because they played for PH.

They should hire Keatts if they can afford him. He is an excellent coach, an elite motivator, has deep recruiting ties and plays a style that will immediately make GT an attractive destination.

I wouldn't worry about any blowback from the Louisville thing, either. Pitino and Co. have done a very good job of making sure Andre McGee takes ALL the blame for the escort scandal.

I doubt Keatts' name is even mentioned in the NCAA report.
