GIVING DAY 2023
We may very well be playing in the state of Florida next season, but I doubt it's in Coral Gables.

I seem to remember we had a home/home with them many moons ago. Good to see them back on the schedule

They were rumored under Hewitt I believe to be interested but I don't think anything panned out..But it could have been many years before that, that you are referring to.

I just hope this time we foul if we are up three late in the game...

DP had Penn State on the schedule when he was at Bucknell... The two schools are about 1 hour apart in PA.
Penn St. is a good home-and-home for Mason. I think the deal DP had with them at Bucknell was a 2 for 1.

I am going back years, possibly while Coach L was here but it could have been before that.

Considering the state of our program, the fact we can get any Power 5 school to a home-and-home is minor miracle.

They must see each school as an up and comer in the conferences, and they must see going to Mason also as a good opportunity to get PSU alumni in the DC area to a game.

First time poster here. I wanted to circle back to the UPenn question. Anyone know if that was a home and home arrangement? Would love to make the pilgrimage to the Palestra to see Mason play.

I really don't have any first hand knowledge of the situation, but I think historically all of our games against Ivy League teams have been only in Fairfax.

I seem to recall us playing at Princeton a couple years ago and losing, but otherwise you're right.

I work at Princeton so I would love for them to continue that series.

Read somewhere that the A-10 is considering going back to a 16 game conference schedule. More A-10 teams were making the tourney with 16 as opposed to 18. I guess the rationale would be to pick up more quality OOC games. Who knows, may have made a difference for a team like GW or Bona this past year. I thought Bona should have gotten in this year, but their OOC was weak. Though I still hate the fact that 'Cuse will never go to Bona to play.

I'm surprised they went to 18 in the first place, although with 14 teams in the conference, seeding the conference tournament would be tough with a 16 game conference schedule.

Happy to see PSU on the schedule, but possible rough timing as I think that program is turning a corner a little bit. This season they have three of the top players in the state, including the numbers 1 and 2 coming to Happy Valley. It's not exactly the Fab 5, but it is a bunch of kids who played AAU together and decided they wanted to all play together in college too. Look for them to be a tournament team in the near future.

Also, yes, we will be at the Palestra this year I believe.
