So just found something out that is quite interesting and disturbing.

So my two tickets are in section 110. our season tickets were shipped to the mason ticket office. I questioned why they were delivered but not to my house. I just got off the phone with the ticket office, Patrick (very helpful and great to work with) get ready for the bombshell folks........... EBA is tarping off the upper corners with advertising.

From row N to the top.
part of section 113 all of sections 112 & 111 - part of 110
part of section 104 all of sections 105 & 106 - part of 107
part of section 128 all of sections 127 & 126 - part of 125
part of section 122 all of sections 121 & 120 - part of 119

Again from Row N up to the top. as described to me the "part of" sections are like the first few seats in those sections.

Long story short i had to relocate in the same section just a few rows up and on the other asile.

I am really bummed about this but ill deal with it for the season and then reevaluate my options next season.

Just thought i would share with you all.

PS. I also asked about the UPenn ticket block. They are working on it with UPenn and should have info soon. Looks like we will be getting a ticket block through Mason.

GIVING DAY 2023
Considering our attendance the past few seasons, can't blame the athletic department for trying to squeeze a bit of cash out of thousands of empty seats.

Reducing capacity, even in this artificial manner, also drives up demand for available tickets.

Given that everyone who wants to attend will still be able to get a ticket, I'm not sure what there is to complain about here.

If they get more money out of it then power to them. Anything to get the ball rolling on the practice facility. No one sat there anyways and its so poorly lit that it was just an eyesore.

not against this idea, just alittle bummed i got moved from my seats ive had for a few years. The only people that really sat in the true corners were away team fans, the kids on "kids day" last year, and the others who didnt want to sit in their actual seats.

Oh well yeah, sorry you got moved. Missed that part of your post. That is a bummer. Hope the new ones are at least a little closer.

Maybe if we're lucky they'll still put vcu fans up there behind the curtains.

GIVING DAY 2023
That was definitely a creative way to deliver the tickets, and fortunately mine seems to have survived the experience with only minor wear and tear. It worked out a lot better than I would have expected had I know about it in advance. So props to Mason for thinking outside the box :D

However, it did take me 20 minutes to remove all the glue from the banner....

I'm really not thrilled about this idea, but it's probably the right decision, at least in the short term. I remember how much we laughed at Delaware for doing this.

I was just trying to figure out how to get it off. Good old fashioned picking and scraping?

I was able to get a couple of edges free and pull several large chunks off as if it was tape, then rub most of the rest of it off by rolling it up onto itself.

I think the banners are a great idea, Miami finally did that with their football stadium for non FSU games since the attendance is so poor and it was a much better look then looking at empty seats. Bonus kudos to Mason for creating advertising space and creating additional revenue.

Sorry about those that got moved, I had floor seats given to students, so I know how you feel, but for the greater good this seems like a great move for both appearance and revenue.
