They should've passed out "Havoc" hand towels so the male fans could wipe the jizz off the front of their khakis following Wade's press conference.

Those fools are already convinced they've gotten better in the coaching department, even though Texas Toast never won fewer than 26 games in a season and the new guy has yet to coach his first vcu practice.

They're not just delusional. They're just plain stupid. But what do you expect from the ultimate safety school?

Four years ago we'd have all been changing our underpants if Bill Courtney had gotten the job. Since then he's been an average-at-best head coach. Not saying Wade will fail, but the popular assistant isn't always a great head coach replacement. Best case is that he fails to win games, but remains popular enough that they keep giving him chances... sort of like most of the old CAA coaches we know.

Here's the difference, 99: Nobody here would've been dumb enough to suggest that Courtney was already a better coach than Larranaga.

Completely agree. Sort of like they need a new object of affection for the Stockholm Syndrome they've developed.

Gotta feel bad for Buffalo. Every time they dodged a bullet, another job opened up. It was inevitable he was going to leave eventually, but I thought they might get lucky and get a stay of execution for another season.

Well "The Upgrade" has a tall order to fill in order to prove that title as Shaka did quite well for vcu. If he doesn't, I wonder what his new moniker will be.

Will Wade is expected to bring associate head coach from Manhattan, Rasheen Davis. And have his staff filled by end of the week. I'm starting to wonder if we hired a search firm for our assistants too. I'm sure DP knows what he's doing but its taking a minute.

vcu just has it easier. They have a "program." They lose a coach, they go and hire a replacement that fits the mold, the program, the system in some capacity. And in in this case, it was bit easier off their coaching tree. He was already associated with the program and knows where the bathroom is. (And has a scrumptious wife I might add...)

We aren't there. Every time we go searching, it a whole new regime, whole new mentality, etc. If we hired Courtney last time or Cherry this time......it would have come across as alot smoother....
