Jeff Goodman saying Will Brown is possible replacement at Fordham. What the hell would he want to go there? That much of an upgrade over Albany?
Pecora got fired?

Lamar Butler, again, feeling bad for Pecora this time. What is up with him feeling sorry for fired coaches. Is on hormone meds?
All depends on how you look at it.
Fordham was paying Pecora $750K ... even with NYC cost of living, that's good dough. Gotta imagine it would be a significant bump from what Albany can afford.
It's also a jump from a one-bid league into the 7th-best basketball conference in America.
Winning has to be a consideration. Brown already has won big at Albany ... recent history says that will be difficult to damn near impossible at Fordham.
But given the ego most coaches possess, Brown probably believes he is capable of succeeding where others have failed. I could certainly see him taking that job.
Fordham has some nice pieces coming back AND Ryan Canty returns for them, you know, the guy who torched us for about 100 rebounds in the 2014 A-10 tourny. Fordham could be a surprise next year.

Issue with DePaul is that they get out-recruited in their own backyard by other conference foes. And no current recruits recall (or were alive) for the glory days under the Meyers. It's just become a coaching graveyard for the past 15-20 years.DePaul is a Big East school and can recruit the Chicago market - I'm not so sure it isn't a better job than Alabama based on potential.

Oh, sorry I missed that. I think a guy like Howland could succeed. Given DePaul's recent track record, I think they probably need a big name more than we do in order to get out of the wilderness.True, but does a guy of the stature of a Ben Howland turn that around? If a local kid wants to stay local, who else are they going to consider?
Consider lifestyle too. A big city guy is going to want to live in Chicago over Tuscaloosa, although your money does go a whole Hell of a lot further in the latter.
Agree DePaul is a coaching graveyard. Mason is two bad hires away from doing the same. AD needs to step up and get a solid coach with solid creds. Howland meets that requirement in my book,To be brutally honest Mason has more upside than DePaul. We are a larger school with more recent success (despite Hewitt). We are a larger school with a larger campus and a comparable media market with nearby conference rivals. The story that could be written at Mason by Howland would be epic. DePaul...... Meh
