Not to be a downer but he's 6'10" and weighs about 160. He will be broken like a stick if he doesn't redshirt.

There is no doubt he is a prime candidate for a redshirt season. I do think that the sky is the limit for this kid though down the road. His sister is a freshmen at Stetson I believe and is dominating that league as a freshman.

And THIS is why I want Jim talking more basketball around here. Dude knows his stuff. Nobody is saying Holloway needs to be Chazz Williams, but it's worth a shot if he provides more production than we are getting now. Even the slightest upgrade makes us a better team, which I think everybody here agrees is desperately needed.
A few observations about Patrick. One, I think he could run the point if pressed into service. Maybe not well, but he could. I don't think he should because the pressure of playing point could mess up his shot. Second, regarding his game, he is NOT just a jump shooter. How many times have we seen him, including against St. Louis, dribble into the paint and shoot a floating one-hander?

That's the first footage I've watched of Tate, and I have to admit he finishes in traffic much better than you would expect for a kid his size. He also seems to have a lot of confidence in his shooting and driving ability. It definitely gives us another option to compete with Moore and Jackson (and Corey if he returns)
I thought Tate was a walk-on...he might actually be good! And how tall is Chaz Williams anyway? And Tate is probably as tall as Jordan Carter, and he looks like a much better scorer.

Porter with 16 points, 15 boards, and 5 blocks in last nights win over Mountain View. Potomac is now 20-0 on the season.

Maybe dawgs99 or dr. gunnie will have better luck than me, but I can't find any game results for our other recruits. Their respective school websites don't update the scores, none appears to get a lot of media coverage, and many of the prep sites charge to see the information.

Anyone know our approach to recruits? Do the assistants go to their home and speak of the legend named Hewitt, then he comes alone to close....or does Hewitt show up from the start?

Thanks Junkees for the update on Eric. Drilling down below his cumulative varsity stats it looks like so far this year he leads his team with 17.6 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 3.1 apg and 2.3 spg. Apparently he does not lead the team in blocked shots (at least not yet). Also Georgia Hoops.com http://georgiahoops.com/?page_id=9 currently has him as the 11th top player in the state from the class of 2014.

Porter scored 28 points last night (including 12-15 from the line) as Potomac improved to 22-0 with a win over Freedom-Woodbridge.

Jalen Jenkins should email him his weight training program. Atleast by fall he can be close to 20lbs of muscle.

I hope these numbers that our 2014 recruits are putting up translate from high school and onto the court for us next season. I'd take half of their offensive numbers/production from each of them.
