I have confidence in Big Balls Brad to make the right decision.

Brad Edwards' career as an AD:

Hired at Newberry in 2009. Accepted the resignation of men's basketball HC Steve DeMeo after the 2009-10 season and hired Dave Davis (who was the HC at Pfeiffer). DeMeo became an assistant at Hofstra and is now HC at Northwest Florida.

Hired at Jacksonville in 2012. Fired men's basketball HC Cliff Warren after the 2013-14 season. Hired Tony Jasick, who was the HC at IPFW.

Hired at Mason in 2014. Says he looking forward to working with Coach Hewitt (2011- ).

Just to clarify, when I wrote that we all want Hewitt to be successful, I was referring to real sustained success similar to what we experienced during the Larranaga era. I was not referring to a possible fluky trip to the NCAAT (which I believe is highly unlikely in the A10).

Hell yes, I'll take a fluky trip to the NCAAT. I gladly took it when we beat UNCW 35-33 in one of the ugliest games ever. I also took it in 2008 when we got lucky as hell that we got to face W&M in the CAAT finals rather than vcu (who Coach L couldn't beat in Richmond). We lost both games in the first round of the NCAAT, but it doesn't mean I didn't appreciate getting there.

Apples to oranges. Coach L was never on the hot seat at Mason.

A better one is JMU's 2013 run, which stuck them with Matt Brady for 3 more years.

Do you want Hewitt as your coach beyond this year? I do not, under any circumstances short of a Sweet 16 or better.

To many, this may be a surprise. If hewitt would change his system he could look less like an idiot. If he showed me more adapting and adjusting id like him more as a coach. But no, he has a losing history when all the Cremins/OCM guys graduate, doesn't adjust system when recruiting shorts him on talent and thus the L's pile up. So F him.

No apparent adjustments. Especially when the other team makes you look silly for what you are doing. Thats my beef.

I would just like to point out that his national title run was achieved by players he recruited. He took over GT in 2000 and in his fourth year he went on his run to the NC game.

Jack, Schenscher, Elder, Bynum and Muhammad were all Hewitt guys. You might be able to argue Marvin Lewis, but he was a freshman during Hewitt's first season 2000-2001 and as such should probably also be considered a Hewitt guy.

I understand people's frustrations with him, but don't make stuff up.
