The Belle Mead, N.J. native’s family lineage is deeply rooted in basketball as her mother Patrice, and each of her six siblings played college basketball, including Naismith Basketball HOF member Anne Donovan. “Aunt Anne” is just one of 10 athletes in Olympic history to be named to three or more Olympic Women’s Basketball Teams (1980, 1984 and 1988). Women's conference tournament will be in Richmond for 2 more years, only 8 teams play in the arena as a new format is being used:

The 2017 tournament is set for Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5.

The new lease will be accompanied by a new format. No longer will all 14 A-10 women’s teams visit Richmond at season’s end. Instead, sources said, only eight teams will make the trip.

But all 14 teams still will participate. The regular-season champion and runner-up will receive byes into the quarterfinals. Teams seeded third through 14th will play, in essence, a preliminary tournament that likely will occur the weekend of Feb. 26-27. Each of the six preliminary games will be played on the home floor of the higher-seeded team.
