Where do you pregame?

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. What is everyone doing for Homecoming?
Freezing, apparently. Can't afford to lose that $15.

In all seriousness, my group is going to make a decision that morning about whether to take on the elements (I wonder if the outlet in my car has enough voltage to power my electric blanket...) or go to one of the following: Brions, Fats, Oh George, RH&B or the Rathskeller (probably my choice if we wuss out).

Maybe we will just get like ten or so charcoal grills and keep them fired up full time. According to the school that is completely safe.

Yea, but the Bernie Sanders crowd might attack you for impacts to global climate change. Do we have a Homecoming Safe Space to deal with such terrible microaggressions?

Can you walk to the Patriot Center (EBA) in two minutes from Red, Hot, & Blue? Convenience & location are difference makers as well.

A car ride and a few left turns and you're at EBA 5-7min after leaving RHB. The deals are pretty good. Good food. Cheap Beer. Plus they don't mind hosting watching parties and such. Could be a great spot if people just added 5-7min to their gameday travel times.

What is Oh George?

A restaurant managed by the same company that manages Frank Beamer's Steak house that treads lightly on the copyright/licensing line It's not dedicated to the school across the street but ALL the George's and their moms Georgina's. They have nice craft beers (prolly don't have budlight or natty light on tap but prolly got organic IPA's) and ok food (wings are actually good). Great place if you're not a broke college student looking to get a pre-game buzz. Might as well go to Brion's.

Oh George has a great seasonal organic eggplant peppermint squash IPA beer

I'll never go to Oh George again. Threw out my friends and I like we were a bunch of simple hobos. Then called the cops on old Jollay Kronopolis, saying Jollay swang at someone, when Jollay didnt.
F those guys anyway. Brion's contributes to the program, Oh George doesnt.

The Alumni Association and Brions can suck a fat one too. They charged $25 for fans/people to enter their bar last night after the game. Brion should of said no, I keep my bar free for people even if the Alumni Association wanted to host some bullshit $25 buffet. Lets stop charging people to enter bars, especially on Homecoming. As basketball regulars.... we should encourage the fairweather fans and alumni to come out more by having welcoming and open events! But with bullshit like this happening COME ON MAN. Whoever charges the $25..... whether it be Brions or Mason.... need to reanalyze your alumni engagement strategies. Quit trying to monopolize on every opportunity to nickel and dime people.

We took our talents to Fats and rang up a nice $250 bar tab with our group. That coulda been Brions money but you all were being greedy.

The $25 at Brion's got you two drinks, a buffet, and no Davidson fans. I was told it was only $20 if you registered in advance. Well worth the $ in my book. Some were complaining about all the Dayton fans pre-gaming there Wednesday. It was nice having only Mason fans there last night. Brion Sumser is a Mason guy and I will never stop supporting him or his restaurant.

Absolutely. The buffet thing is just an attempt to minimize service, but there's no doubt Brion's lost money because of it.
I might have stayed, but they wouldn't even let me look around to see who was there.
Did hit Fats and Brion's after the Oh George debacle, though.
Don't go to Oh George. Run by complete dickheads.

Couldn't agree more. Last night at Brion's was great. I had some spare change and purchased a couple drinks for Coach Paulsen and Nik Mirich. Coach Paulsen was engaging in conversation with anyone who walked up to him. He's extremely personable and energetic.

Wow, what did they throw you out for? Like I said earlier, I sat down with them to see if we could host events there and they were huge Dbags. Giant Killer and myself met there for some wings and a beer, the wings were 13 dollars at lunch time and the beer was 7. I am not a college student anymore but those prices are not reasonable for lunch. They don't do happy hour deals on food because "Their food is above discounts." Also, just carry Bud Light, living in the city I get the image they are trying to portray but even snobby city restaurants have cheap offerings. All 3 times I've been there, someone has shown an example of how pretentious the restaurant really is.

Wish I didn't have to run to TC Williams for the West Po vs TC game or I would have been at Brion's chatting with coach Paulsen myself. I have never been to Fat Tuesdays so we are going to check that place out pregame tmrw if anyone wants to join us. I don't want to give up on RHB but if people won't drive for the deals than people won't drive for the deals. Point taken.

A lot of good people in the gold room each game. So you're a diehard fan but don't donate $400? I guess that speaks volumes about this fan base.
