DEVELOPMENT SPOTLIGHT
Ken & Ty Carlson
Mason Athletics thanks Ken and Ty Carlson who recently pledged $31,250 to establish the Carlson Scholarship Endowment to support our baseball program.
Ken and Ty have been loyal Mason supporters for decades and find themselves on campus regularly. Ty began attending Mason games in 1983 with her family. She participated in many summer mason basketball camps run by head coaches Joe Harrington and Rick Barnes. Ty graduated from Mason in 1996 from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and currently serves on the Alumni Association board of directors. Ken bought his first mason basketball season tickets in 1991 and served for many years as
“t-shirt guy” throwing out t-shirts to fans at games.
The Carlsons are members of our Green Coat Society, contributed to our basketball improvement campaign, support Mason’s Early Identification Program, and alumni scholarships. Mason truly appreciates their tremendous support of our students.
Ty is a systems engineer for Trusted Concepts and Ken is retired. They reside in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
