Where Are They Now?

Tom Yeager is stepping down after the 2015-2016 season

Pretty amazing run. The longest tenured commish in D1 athletics. He did a pretty good job with the CAA from where it was in the mid 80's to where he got it in the mid 2000's. Just couldn't hold everyone together because they sold out to football.

I will always remember him and TOC jumping up and down like two little girls when we beat Uconn in route to final four. I will also remember him for ruining a good basketball league on the cusp to be great. Kinda how I remember TOC too.

RT @JonRothstein: Miami's Jim Larranaga has hired former Virginia Tech coach James Johnson as Director of Basketball Operations.

Someone educate me on the status of a DBO. I thought that it was a low ranking position relative to the assistant coaches. If so, it would seem a big step down from an ACC head coach, even a fired one. I would have thought he would have been a lead assistant.

Yeah, that kind of shocked me as well. Nice of Coach L to throw him a bone, but JJ has the resume to be a lead assistant at a BCS school. I get the need to pay his bills this year, so hopefully for him this is a one-year pitstop until something better becomes available.
