Hall, Johnson Honored in All-Big 12 Awards

"KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After remarkable 2024-25 campaigns, Keyshawn Hall and Darius Johnson of the UCF men’s basketball team were recognized by the Big 12 Conference in the league’s Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Men’s Basketball Awards.

Hall was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team and All-Newcomer Team while Johnson was tabbed as All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.

Hall is the first Knight to be named to a first, second or third team while UCF has been a member of the Big 12 and is the first to be named to one of the top three teams since Taylor Hendricks was a member of the All-American Athletic Conference Second Team in 2022-23. Johnson was one of three Knights to be named to the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention last season along with Jaylin Sellers and Ibrahima Diallo.

Hall has been spectacular this season and finished the season with a share of the conference’s regular season scoring title at 18.5 points per game, posting 572 points. He led the Big 12 in scoring during league play, averaging 20.3 points per game in conference games. Hall had 14 performances of 20 or more points this season, including three 30-point outings, one of which was a 40-point showing at Arizona State, the third highest scoring performance in UCF’s Division-I history. Hall demonstrated a knack for getting to the charity stripe throughout the year, ranking sixth in the nation in made free throws with 182, leading the Big 12."

Good for him but he's also a volume shooter. Increased his turnovers from 2.3 to 3 per game. His FG, 3pt and FT % all dropped this year to 42, 35, 82 %.

Keyshawn was crying on Twitter the other day about his perceived snub from the all league team. Dude will never understand we not me, and that coaches talk and his reputation precedes him no matter how many points he scored.
