Where Are They Now?

"One of those players that has earned their keep is Jordan Miller. Coming into the season operating on a two-way contract (and still playing on a two-way), Miller has already outdone preseason expectations and has shown the coaching staff that he deserves more minutes going forward. On Sunday evening following the win over the Denver Nuggets, Tyronn Lue spoke about Miller's success.

Ty Lue says Jordan Miller has earned his trust

After Miller scored eight points on 4-for-6 shooting in just 15 minutes of action against Nikola Jokic and company, Lue gave the youngster his credit. "He's earned my trust," said the Clippers' coach. In just four words, Lue managed to speak volumes about Miller and just how far he has come.

When he was picked up in the second round of the 2023 NBA draft, there were not much expectations for Miller and his future role on the Clippers. Everyone knew he was going to be a G League prospect that would have a chance of earning NBA minutes at some point, but that chance was admittedly pretty low. Even so, hopes for him began increasing when he dominated Summer League this past offseason, earning First Team All-Summer League honors.

Those hopes rose even higher among Clipper nation when Ty Lue spoke about how Miller had impressed he and his staff during preseason, saying Jordan had proven he was an NBA player. But the question about him earning legitimate minutes in the regular season was still up in the air.

Now, it seems that question has been answered as well. Earning your coach's trust is something that players cannot cut corners on, and Miller has done everything the right way en route to potentially becoming a real wing option for the Clippers the rest of the way this season."

NCAA D3: Kent Dernbach – University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point

Dernbach__Kent2023-682x1024.jpg

"Coach Dernbach’s Pointers took down the No. 1 team in the country this week as they extended their perfect start to the season. UW – Stevens Point hosted top-ranked Trine on Saturday, jumping out to a nine-point halftime lead and holding on to take a 65-62 win. The impressive victory extended the Pointers’ winning streak to seven to begin the season. Having received the second-most votes of teams not in the D3hoops.com Top-25 last week, UW – Stevens Point will almost certainly find itself in the rankings this week. The Pointers next matchup comes at home on Saturday night against the University of Olivet."

Kent Dernbach was Director of Basketball Operations at George Mason

Jordan Miller played in his 25th NBA game tonight (LA Clippers 118 - at Dallas Mavericks 95), passing Ricky Wilson for the most NBA career games by a former George Mason player. He's tied with Wilson with 125 career points.

Miller is in the second and final season of a two-way contract with the Clippers.

Tracy Battle held a summer camp at JBAB (Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling) when I was a HS junior. He taught me how to do a crossover on a fast break, and was my first introduction to GMU. RIP, Coach Battle.

Thank you for posting this, Pablo. I probably would have never saw it.

"SEATTLE, Wash. - With the game tied after Michael Gray Jr. made three free throws with 11 seconds remaining, Byron Ireland picked up a steal and raced down the court for the game-winning layup as the Nicholls State University men's basketball team rallied late for a 71-69 win against Seattle on Monday night at the Redhawk Center."

"Ireland was one of five Colonels to crack double figures in scoring, joined by Trae English with 13 points -- 11 coming in the first half, and Mekhi Collins, Emarion Ellis and Gray added 10 each. • "Clutch baskets from Robinson and Winston gave Manhattan the separation it needed, before Dinkins iced the game from the free throw line with four consecutive makes which settled the final scoreline at 86-81."
The 10 rebounds marked a season-high for Gilyard, while Dinkins' five assists tied his career high
