Great video. Really cool to tie in the history of the program. I’d like to see more of that, help educate me and the fanbase. give us the sense that is a winning program and a winning culture not a one time miracle.

In the article by TB it noted this has been our longest period without a tourney appearance. I was shocked.

Call me ignorant, but being at Mason during the L years and the way the admin handled post final four, I always assumed we weren’t great in the 80s and 90s and the last decade was more par for the course vs. exception.

we need to have this history told and on display in the patriot center.

10 CAA championship game appearances, 4 championships.

Lost to Navy (David Robinson) 1986, Richmond (1988, 1991), vcu (2003, 2007, 2009). All those losses to Richmond teams and the tournament was held in Richmond for all of them.

The vcu ones sting the most because consider this hypothetical: 2001, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011

edit: to say this is why you move up. All those CAA finals appearances and only a few NITs come out of those seasons. You make the finals in the A10 and most likely you are at the very least a bubble team if not a lock for an at-large if you lose.

This guy has been here a day and hasn’t even won a game yet. Why didn’t we hire a PROVEN coach like Larry Brown?!?

What does he want our identity to be offensively or defensively?
scheduling philosophy (stole this one)- we have many alumni in different states such as NYC and Hawaii and we would love to see the basketball program head in our direction
What style of play can we expect?
Fouling up 3 late in the game, when do you do it? Under 10 seconds?
