Nice range on his shot and excellent follow through. Thus far, I am impressed with some of the guards that have been recruited by Mr. Paulsen. We may be spreading it out, penetrating, sharing the ball and knocking down some 3's moving forward.

Herndon

All-Conference
1) gotta love a lefty
2) kid needs a 24 hour pass to the weight room
3) Does it feel to anybody else like it's been an avalanche of recruiting in the past couple of months?

Kid looks fine, but unless we're going to be the Golden State Warriors of the A-10 we better find some bigs quick.

Dixon, Relvao and Temara are all 6-9 or taller.
But you just named what may be our entire frontcourt next year. I have zero inside knowledge, but have to think JJ at least considers being a senior transfer to a contending program next season. Even if he doesn't our thin front line is going to be a concern.

Dayton almost won the A-10 regular season title with 6 scholarship players, none taller than 6-6.

Davidson did win the A-10 regular season title with zero post offense and terrible post defense.

Both made the NCAA tournament.

You don't need a bunch of bigs in college basketball as long as you have excellent guards.

Between Livingston, Murrell, Grayer, Boyd, Kier and Newman, that is a diversely talented group that will be a bitch to defend in Paulsen's motion offense.

Jenkins is a junior. So Relvao, Dixon, Temara, Jenkins at the 4 and 5; Abram and Grayer at the 3

Jenkins is a redshirt junior, which technically means he could graduate after this season. I think 99's point is that Jalen could opt to play his 5th year at another school that offers a graduate degree not currently offered at Mason. With this ridiculous NCAA "academic" loophole, he would be eligible to play for that program immediately.

If that happens, I'm sure his scholarship will be addressed.

But if we have to run a 4 guard lineup or use a three man rotation (how many minutes did Hernandez and Fleming actually play during the FF run?) I'm sure we can figure it out.

At this point, I'd much rather focus on adding quality players -- regardless of position -- than reaching to take a commitment from a guy who can't really play just because he's big.

In a complete reversal from the past 4 years, I have total confidence that DP will be able to take what we have and make it successful.
