Welcome Jaire Grayer

It was good to see him on the bench with the rest of the team against St. Bonnies and seemed to be supporting them throughout the game.

The staff owes nothing to anyone at this point regarding Grayer, although I suspect the transfer (at least), would be announced on the midseason list like Arledge’s was. If they don’t want to discuss it, they won’t discuss it and it’s put to bed.

They won’t know officially about the redshirt until after the season.
Please explain why the staff owes nothing to anyone regarding Grayer.

Your avatar is what I imagine DJ3 to look like when he started high school.

That's so nice of you to say about by bud! My avatar expresses how I feel, inside and out, about Trolls. I was once a lowly servant who hated trolls and had a crush on the Prince, but the Trolls lent me their hair to create beautiful rainbow colored extensions and win the Prince's heart!

After that, I realized the ultimate wisdom and benevolence that all Trolls have, and I will love them forever!

I think Grayer is gone if he walks on Senior night. However, not walking doesnt mean he is staying either.

Would be a horrible career and future decision for Grayer to play another minute this season. He will be able to play either for Mason or elsewhere for a full season for his final year. This is a non discussion. Grayer and his family are smarter than this

Grayer would just keep his current scholarship....If he stays we would then be at the max of 13. Unless we add another recruit this spring there is still room for Grayer to stay.

Willing to bet that’s why a third recruit didn’t sign in the fall period. They’re either leaving it open until Jaire decides what he wants to do or they already know he’s staying. He can obviously help us next season if his foot is fully healed.

Was just thinking whether or not we sign a 3rd player for next year is likely the best indication we are going to get about whether Jaire is returning, at least in the immediate future.

Longer a 3rd commitment is not obtained, more likely it is that he stays. But there is always a legit possibility that we don't get a 3rd commitment and he still leaves, and we either go after a juco/transfer or leave the scholly open.

Do you guys want to see Grayer on the team next year? Mason should be competative next year, would be be a contributer or would it make things to compilcated.

I would love to see Jaire back next year. He's a great talent when healthy and, from what you see on the bench, he seems to be a good supportive teammate. We really miss his scoring and rebounding this year even though his absence has allowed Javon to blossom.
