Because it wasn't a violation.Another thing is why isn’t Haynes in the portal, it’s 2 years so he can’t play again this year.
We need more shooters for this to be the case.the opposing defenses can't collapse on either big without leaving the shooters with wide open 3's.
That’s my point! Haha, thank you!Because it wasn't a violation.
Emejuru is 270? Legit..and Mason just acquired a 6'11 270 wide body physical, with a really defend the paint and lay the hurt on anyone defending in the post...to go along 6'8 245 Haynes who can stretch the floor or play down low...
Didn't the NCAA relax their rules on countable coaches for this season? I thought under the new rules, Mark was allowed to do some coaching and not be solely DOBO. Which may be another reason why the alleged violation wasn't actually applicable.A countable coach is the HC and their 3 assistants. Mark and Lamar are not assistants. Houston was an assistant under Hewitt.
Malcolm Grace is our compliance director. I have no idea why you're bringing Darrell Green into this discussion.Maybe you guys are right it was a rules violation. Would be a good excuse to finally fire Green then. He offers nothing, after they fired their previous compliance guy before that they got in all sorts of problems.

If you are looking at the same notice I am, look a little bit lower at the section that describes the penalty. That is contradicted by your last statement about seeing him on the court next season. Since he would have transferred if that penalty were still in place, it is obvious that notice is out of date and the situation has changed. As a poster on here once wisely said, "I just don’t see the point in promoting anything negative regarding the program", so I suggest we stop promoting this narrative that is out of date.Guys I don’t know what to tell you... I literally have a copy of the notice that was sent explaining the violation.
Fwiw, I agree with the rule, and I'm looking forward to seeing Haynes on the court next season.
Yes, the situation has changed. However, the initial point still stands as to why we didn’t see him this past season. If you are looking at the same notice I am, look a little bit lower at the section that describes the penalty. I think there’s a happy medium where you can add an impact player who doesn’t require you to break the bank. This is one of those situations. There will be others to follow. So now here's the question.....
Is he not really that good because other programs didn't offer more...P5s etc?
Or did Coach Skinn decide to break the bank for this guy?
I can't imagine he just out of the goodness of his heart said..."yeah I have got to be at Mason..."
That's what we are left to ask in this brave new world of college basketball....
