If rumors (and I repeat rumors) are that one of our players is asking for $1-mil NIL, our coach should be beating that.1m base means we are going cheap. Thats not going to work.We offer that, it would be obvious we cant get out of our own way.

I can add to this. This past Saturday I spoke to Dr. W in-person at the pre-game pep rally. He straight up told me he was aware that the top 5 salaries in A10 were between $1.5-2.0 Mil. He knew that Mason needs to be strongly in that range. I came away beyond satisfied of his understanding of the situation.I'll add this.
1) Tony needs to be paid like a top coach in the a10.
2) Mason knows he needs to be paid like a top coach (see comments by Dr W)
If we want to survive this era of college basketball (which Mason is very interested in being competitive in all facets), this is something that was inevitable. 1m or 1.2 is not going to cut it. 1.5-2m is more of what the market dictates for what we think is a jewel of a coach. And one of our own.
We finally have an administration looking to retain and invest the proper funds in the right coach. I'm hopeful and optimistic that Mason is being proactive on what needs to be done. Everything I'm hearing, is in concert with these thoughts.

This is the expectation and everything that many of us have been hearing. It has been posted as well that we have no reason to be concerned about being able to compete.Mason has a unique opportunity to show all of us "old heads" that the old status quo way of doing things in the AD are gone. If Mason ponies up 1.5 mil or more I think we may have turned a corner in respect to our approach to our flagship sport. If they get this done, and we get the rev share going this summer our men's basketball program will be in a really good place going forward in this new environment. Lets get this right this time!
If I hear or start hearing anything differently , I will be all over the Mason administration for f**king up once again. I won't be the only one either. But everything seems to be steady and proactive.
No, YOU calm down.Idk what happened here, but everyone needs to calm down and be ok. Our admin has a completely respectable and competitive offer on the table extension wise for Tony.
I'm focused on Bradley.I have this sneaky suspicion that @Patriot8 is trying to tell us something...
I am still a bit concerned by Dr. W's "fans and alumni" comment. Although, maybe he knows something we don't. Like big bucks coming from a fan(s)/alum(s) that is going to be revealed pretty soon.I have this sneaky suspicion that @Patriot8 is trying to tell us something...

Cuz if it's up to financially challenged fans like me, it ain't gonna happen.
LET'S GO PRESIDENT WASHINGTON !!!
Basically someone said "lets offer Tony 1m", many of us said "huh? no thats not enough". I chimed in with my comments, others have chimed in with others.
Our admin is competent, proactive, and in control of what they can control. They are prepared and acted as needed. They are not expecting all of us to pony up 100k and then blame us on failures lol.
I boldly predict between 0 and 31 regular season wins.Tony Skinn in year 1: 20-12
Tony Skinn in year 2: 27-9 (Co A-10 Regular Season Champs, A10 Tournament Championship appearance, 2nd round of NIT)
