We have something very attractive to offer a guy like Obi, who was buried on the bench at Duke: the chance to start and play major minutes.

But I too want to know if GS meant he is visiting vcu or Mason. Figured he'd wind up at vcu with the Rhoades connection.

Most P5 schools have 4 or 5 walk ons or players that don't expect to ever play, much more than a mid major would have.

Paulsen probably told the three players that he doesn't expect them to get much playing time at all and he thinks they can be successful in a different conference, but he didn't push them to transfer. Players want to play and get the opportunity to succeed on the court.
I believe at some schools there are some players recruited to get 4.0s and keep the average gpa up

I'm know for fact that is a prerequisite for walk ons at some of the major programs.

Walk-ons don't count for NCAA APR and that's all that matters.
