Even notice last year many of the students had bright green shirts? Bright colors are "cool" with the kids today.

I thought that this was announced earlier, but at the meet and greet, Brad said that the season ticketholders next to the band were being relocated as that section will be for students. Seemed to indicate that rather having them in the upper reaches at the other end of the court, those students could get closer to the court and be next to the visitors bench. Hence the Patriot Platoon will be "lower bowl" at both ends of the court with some being next to the band. Of course this only works if there are enough students that show up!

I think bright colors are cool if there's not too much "extra" stuff on there. But I'm also a fan of really simple unis too. Just bold text, no extra piping or shadows. Another home uniform idea. Again, keeping it simple. Just a couple subtle gold bits on this one:

Brad Edwards also noted that the move would put the students closer to the visitors bench. Also, speaking of names, Coach Paulsen said he wanted players to play for the name on the front of the uniform and not for the name on the back. I guess that means we'll have player names on the unis this year!
Wouldn't his comment imply we won't have players' names on the back?

Exactly.
Seriously, I like having the names on the back and hope Paulsen switches it back. I get the whole "play for the name on the front" argument, but it's also about making the experience easier for casual fans who don't know our players. Hell, I'm not a casual fan, and I don't think I'll know half of our roster next year. haha
