In the totally useless information file: After this year, Marko and PH will be the first Mason players to ever wear white, black, yellow, green, and gray jerseys in their careers. Prior to that, the Morrison/Pearson/Cornelius class led the way with four (never wore gray).

So looking at our crowd today it looks like Adidas changed our colors.... looks like our Green is darker and our Gold is now Yellow. Some fans had on Yellow shirts in the stands. Anyone else notice?

I think it's an improvement. Gold always looks mustard. The kids like the day-glow. I'm all for it.

I think the "gold" is the same color. The green may be a bit darker, but it could also be due to sweat, or just the type of fabric adidas uses.

Gray was just too dark. I'm not a huge fan of color blocking either.

I like alternate jerseys, I thought our gold ones during Hewitt's tenure were beautiful. But these gray jerseys are just plain boring and drab. Kids like "sizzle." These gray jerseys have all the sizzle of Nyquil.

In "why do I even notice this stuff?" news...

Shevon was wearing Nikes today. He was wearing last years LeBrons a bunch of people on the team had. All Nike swooshes, LBJ logos, etc. were covered up (with a green marker, I assume). However, the dark swoosh on the white sole was not covered up. Last years LeBrons had a very recognizable side panel, as well.

Maybe Gunnie can help on this, but they way I see it is I assume players can wear other brands, so long as they cover up their logos? I mean, they are "amateurs" so you can't make them?

Interesting concepts. That said, I think the best rebrand is to start winning some f*cking games.
And I already own a mountain of Mason gear (got a new hat for Christmas with the current logo in fact)...I'm not buying more...until we start winning some f*cking games.

The striped shirts resemble a (slightly more colorful) prison uniform. Thumbs down for me.
