Great first half..... Not trying to nit pick but 2nd half defense was a let down as was our inability to handle their press. Going to need to get better and play a complete 40 minutes to win it all. Green Room open but no Gold Room?

To be fair. That 6’11 center they had was out of his mind from 3 and he was shooting over everyone. He was basically their offense. He was 6-10 and the entire rest of the team shot 6-24.

I also don’t think they had that many turnovers against the press: 10 total, I’m pretty sure 5 in both halves. Samford
Ratcheted up the aggressiveness of their press but most of that just led to fouls and FTs.

The one thing that did start happening was Samford crashing the glass and got a lot of offensive rebounds in the second half.

Agreed, nice to know that I'm a second class citizen not worthy of regular game night privileges. My budget on a yearly basis doesn't allow me to pay Green Room rates but I've given tens of thousands over the years. I guess Mason is just too cheap. Considering a letter, not that it will do any good.

Nice crowd for a wednesday. Team played hard with only a slight letdown when were up 24. Good balanced scoring , good D for most of game except on #33 he hit a lot of 3s against our big men. Like someone said earlier we needed this type of performance after sunday.

They asked Skinn about him in the post game. He just said “Woody is fine.” My guess is it was precautionary. And yeah they were up by double digits basically the whole game. No reason to risk putting him back in there.

Another poster said Newton hurt his knee in practice the day before but was ok to play. So maybe that’s what it was about.

How was our breakdown of weeknights vs weekends? Was this game substantially lower than a typical Wednesday? Either way, it sucks that the community can't support this team more. I wish I had the time and money to travel more for the team, and never missed a game when I lived an hour from the stadium... wish we could get the Fairfax community to show up
