I think this is off basee by alot. We have players that are capable of scoring outside Sherrod and BA. Also, why is Hewitt not responsible for not bringing in the "pieces he needs" or properly or at least more efficiently utilize the pieces he has?

Can't nab the PG you want on the recruiting trail? Oh well. Adjust and win with what you have, etc. Hewitt & Co. can't seem to do that, though.

Also, who are these capable scorers? We've seen flashes from Marko and a little from Jenkins. But no consistency on the offensive end. PH hasn't hit anything so far this year. Johnny and Copes are averaging like 0.0002 points per game combined. And now it looks like Sherrod can't even bring it every game.

C) He just got run out of Atlanta for failure and from media accounts, was pretty much burned out at the end. I would think as a professional.....he probably needed time to step back from the game an re evaluate everything.

Right, so nobody forced him here. You have to be smart enough to make your own decisions. But this literally has nothing to do with the games now, hes here and hes been here...and hes failing here now.

Amen. The value here is to fire Hewitt asap. Let Houston audition the rest of the year as an interim head coach. Atleast Copes may wake up. Then the lull Hewitt is in will leave with him and the team can breathe better. If we are going to suck next year I'd rather it be with a new coach that knows how to build a team. Who knows, maybe the new coach will bring his recruits with him and its a wash. Or better. Or maybe he convinces ours to stay and shows us it isn't the impossible to coach guys you didn't recruit. The whole "Hewitt needs his guys" arguement is complete bs. Are the Cubans recruits some rare form of alien that can't dribble pass and shoot? You mean the Cuban could take a bunch of avg recruits from Maryland and go to the final four but the current roster with similar or better caliber players under Hewitt can't play fundamentally sound ball? It's inexcusable! With additional summer practice? With an earlier start to practice? And in year 3? Canning him now won't make things worse. The man looks defeated. And his players play like it.

Copes can't even catch a basketball and his defense consists of wildly swing his arms in a futile attempt to get a highlight real block so he can taunt his opponent regardless of the scoreboard.

Pretty much all our big men look like they've got boxing gloves on out there. Copes' taunting doesn't bother me. Maybe watching the Redskins D all these years has left me immune to it.

Save for BA and Sherrod, we have no one who can score. Our bigs cannot defend or score or play without fouling. We have no floor general or primary competent ball handler. This team is also not as athletic as some would like to think.

BA is #3 on the team in PPG right now, by a sliver.
