One last thing, why didnt this search firm, BBB, or Cabrerra ask about his wife's status? She's the All Star. Imo, Big Balls Brad, might have to just be Brad going forward.

I can't say I'm surprised that Turner turned down this job. He joins a rather lengthy list (according to my sources) who has turned down the job.

We might end up getting stuck with a guy like Moton or Baggett because he's literally the 30th guy on the list of candidates. The AD might spin it in a way that makes it seem positive that it was the person they targeted all along, but I know of at least 5 coaches who have turned down this job. At this point hiring a retread or assistant might be our best options left.

Where do you get your information. To date there have only been verbal discussions with one offer made to Turner. So there have not been multiple offers made that were turned down. I don't even count the Jay L issue as a turn down as a lot of that was made up in the press and message boards.

If you would have asked me to choose between Moton and Turner a few days ago, I would have taken Moton. I'm a everything happens for a reason type of guy - if all this leads us to land Moton, than I'm fine with it.

I would rather be denied by coaches because we are reaching for the best than settle for someone just because we are sure they'll say yes.

Turner moved to California when his wife got a job there. He gave up his coaching job and it took him some time to get back into coaching. Now he gets offered a job he wants but can't take it because his wife gets a promotion. Seems like it is time for her to support her husband and give up her job.

But I am sure there are other factors involved.

Who knows how much of this is true.

Anyway, good luck to RT.

That's really disappointing. TOC has turned Mason from a dream job for an up and comer into an after thought 3rd or 4th choice for up and comers.

I know we all use cute euphemisms and exaggerate claims of hate for people here on the boards, but I literally hate TOC and wish him a painful existence the rest of his life. f**k him.

That idiot skated around and rode the coat tails of coach L's success. Making a great living without having any substantial skills for over 20 years.

When he did have to make a decision on his own (Hewitt) his true inept, big hair douchebaggery shined through like a turd colored beacon. He is absolutely useless and his dingle berries still hanging around the athletic department have the nerve to criticism BBB?!?!?!?!

Now he is retired, enjoying life with a great pension while Mason is trying to crawl back from the depths of college hoops misery.

I really don't care all that much about Brad's swing and misses....just find the right guy eventually to move this program in the right direction. We put all our chips in the basket of a guy who has lived out west for like 20 years with a very important doctor wife, it was probably a long shot from the beginning. It does seem however that Turner wanted this job, ultimately family got in the way. This to me is a positive sign that we had a guy on the hook who was very qualified from Cali, Brad must have really done a nice sales job. I hope brad sent a plane down to Durham to pick up Levelle so we can get this thing done.
