Really liked seeing the hedge and recover defense back with an emphasis on taking charges instead of blocking shots near the hoop. Looks like they decided to do more switching in the second half.

Almost passed out from nostalgia/euphoria seeing the set play lob to Henry.

Some sloppy play but still a big margin win short handed. I’ll take it.

I am happy to report that Brillo and her whole family were not in attendance tonight!!!!!!! Delighted with the student turnout tonight but the alums still SUCK. TOO many prime open seats!

Yes, good student turnout if only we could get them to leave their phones in a basket as they enter the student section. I didn't see many students taking their eyes off of their phones during the game. Maybe a few stood up to stretch their legs here and there, though.

Maybe I just got it completely wrong, but I’d thought of Odurro as wide body banger when he signed. Watching him tonight though, he’s really transformed his body to be leaner & quicker.

What a fantastic win. Can't overreact to one good game against a low major, but we saw everything we wanted to see tonight.

- Balanced scoring from the starters with 16, 14, 11, 11, and 9

- Held opponent to 22-64 from the field

- PREMIUM A10 TALENT on display between Oduro, Schwartz, Cooper, and Ticket. The days of horses vs ponies are long gone. We are big enough to bang with anyone in the A10.

- Not sure if XJ's explosion is back or if he benefits from the spacing in a four-out system but he looked really good

- the passing, the cutting, the shooting - maybe I'll try to break it all down later, but for now I'll say this is what modern basketball looks like. It flowed, guys could get to their spots and take their shots without getting screamed at. Only a couple long 2s all game long. Analytics dream.

- still a lot to clean up with turnovers, some poor shooting, and generally sloppy play, but we were in the driver's seat the whole time and I was never worried. BEAUTIFUL basketball during the run to pull away where everything clicked.

A proper start to the Kim English era. Go Mason!

Look at Jamal start running the other way as soon as he makes this pass. Totally different attitude this year and I love it.

Great start, only thing that would have made the night sweeter would have been St. Peter’s pulling off the upset at vcu. Had vcu down one under a minute and blew it.

Anyways, Ticket has a motor..great effort on defense and was better offensively than I thought he’d be. Oduro is going to have some big nights. Definitely worked on his quickness and he has the confidence now. Cooper is a nice addition, kind of has that old man at the YMCA game but it works for him.

What was the deal with Frazier and Polite? They mentioned an injury for Polite. Anyone know how long he is expected to be out?

Team looked way more ready to play than on opening nights during the DP era.

I understand this won’t fly with season ticket holders. But the students should get side seats, it would look begetter on tv.

Season ticket holders still have the other side of the stadium and could get behind the basket.
