Kudos to Tony Bennett for using his raise to give to his assistants. Wonder why L couldn't have just done that?

I remember one time I coached Robinson HS and gave my assistants half my stipend, and that was only like 3k or something.

But NO, not enough for the other guys to wet their beaks after three raises in five years for L worth like half a mil!

Absurd. Maybe not have a maid and pay Cherry next time.

Right? Of course, once this disaster of a coach runs his course at G Mas and there are no more DMDs to guzzle, they'll be bad mouthing DP and stating what took so long.

I was down in Charleston this weekend and went to the Miami/UConn game Sunday afternoon. Really pretty depressing to see Coach L. He was unable to walk or even stand by himself. Was taken to and from the court in a wheel chair and seemed really emotionally down. Probably didn't help his mood that Danny Hurley's UConn team ran them out of the gym.

Miami's bigs are awful. They have a few freshman who looked promising (Wong, Reynolds), but looks like it will be a rough year. Basketball aside, I hope Coach L gets physically well. He looked very frail.

Wow...hope he gets better! its crazy they are still doing well on the recruiting trail. Just landed a top 30 player from DeMatha

Congrats to Coach L on win #650. He looked better on the sidelines last night during his W over Illinois. Almost blew a 25 point lead and hung on.

In all seriousness for a minute..

congrats to the turncoat on his 650th win. I think we can all agree that despite his disappointing tenure at the U, the guy remains one of top five coaches in the state of Florida, at worst.

Smart to celebrate now, he ain't seeing 700.

Doesn't he have some Brion's food still named after him? What's the f**king problem?

He may need some confidence-building after failing at Miami, though, so I would be up for honoring him in some kind of brief ceremony when we play American or JMU or somebody if it's on a weeknight.

If we played them before he is asked to forcibly retire, we could probably do a halftime ceremony as well, I dont think he really comes up with strategy or coaches the team much anymore.
