Early intel informs that this new fella dislikes Frumpy Dave.

Wow. So GMU's new president is named Washington. This will confuse things in the DVM. GMU's president is named Washington, but George Washington's president is named LeBlanc. JMU's president is named Alger. So the James Madison Colonial Patriots are being led by Washington Alger LeBlanc. Is he related to Matt LeBlanc?

Follow Gregory on Twitter ASAP, he needs some followers. Pablo, what do we know about this man?

Here’s a pic of him playing hoops with his co-workers (far left)

UC Irvine is also a young institution (1965), in a similarly rich suburb of LA (probably richer than Fairfax), and they’ve really rocketed up in terms of academic reputation. They also have a billion dollar endowment, so maybe he can bring that moxie with him.

He takes over July 1, so does that mean any big decision the school has to make will wait until then? I've always felt like the Sports Business degree program should be in the School of Business, not in the School of Sport, Recreation and Tourism. (I'm a School of Business grad and have worked in sports and entertainment. There was no Sports Mgmt degree when I was in school and I am glad I went through the School of Business). If Mason was needing to decide this in April, would it be put on hold or would he be contacted for his opinion? I don't follow university presidential protocol on decision making during transitional times.

New presidents almost always take a year to get the lay of the land before making any major personnel decisions, which would align nicely with giving Dave one more year to shit or get off the pot.

There have been exceptions, but I can’t see Washington coming in and just cleaning house.

The President needs to put his team together. With Wu leaving, Mason will be hiring a new Provost and I'm sure Washington will be part of that search.

President Washington needs to send a text to Brad and say "do what you gotta do".
