I really like Moore. He does a lot of things well. And he is really important to our team as evidenced by how we struggled when he was out of the lineup. But let's get real. Moore can't shoot well enough to be considered NBA caliber talent.

They were talking about Tim Quarterman from LSU

Those are huge numbers for a guard. He is really becoming one of my favorite players. The guy is just a hard nose, blue collar worker. He has stepped up in a big way this year.

I'm trying to remember the last time ANY college guard averaged double-digit rebounds over a a 4-game span. It really is unfathomable when you think about it. Hell, I'm trying to recall the last time Mason had a frontcourt player average 10 rebounds in that span. I don't think Will Thomas, Kenny Sanders or George Evans even accomplished that feat?

Pearson had 41 rebounds in his first 4 games in the 2011-2012 season. Had 12, 10, 12, and then 7, for an average of 10.25. Granted, three of those four games went to OT, which just shows how much more impressive it is for Moore.

Tom,

Have you forgotten Shevon Thompson already?

Marquise motherf*cking Moore! Defense, physicality, ball handling, getting to the rack. Dude is a classic knuckles-and-teeth point guard. Like, he's not the best player in the world (or even on the team) but I LOVE guys like him. Guys that when you get done playing against him, you're going to have scratches all over you and be in a bad mood.
This guy gets it.

There are only two guards on ESPN's stats page that are averaging more rebounds per game than Marquise - and those two guys are 6-7 and 6-9.

"George Mason’s Marquise Moore had a monster week, averaging a double-double of 18.8 points and 10.5 rebounds, while also recording 3.0 assists per game in a 3-1 week for the Patriots … Mason freshman Justin Kier averaged 7.3 points and 6.5 rebounds, including a career-high 10 boards against Bradley … "
Congrats to Moore well deserved! Is it me or did the A10 miss something. Moore appears to have better numbers than both candidates selected as player of the week from the A10. He averaged 18.8 points and 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assist, and went 3-1 for the week. The guy is 6'2 and averaged a double double for four games. How is this possible? Is it because both players selected are pre season all conference players? SMH once again no respect for Mason Players.

I think it comes down to competition faced as well. Cline from Richmond put up similar numbers to Marquise but against BCS competition as Richmond beat BC and took Maryland to OT. While Mason struggled to beat JMU.
