Yup watched their game. AJ looks amazing, his bounce is just insane. Mars game looks versatile and he's a relentless defender. He hit a couple 3s and looks comfortable dribbling the ball. Curious if he can play the 3. They are both basically the same size.

One of my off season favorite seasons on the board, the "He had a great Kenner so we know he is going to be great" season.

Sometimes a great kenner means a great season sometimes it doesnt. Can't really determine too much from glorified street ball but its always good to see players do well regardless of atmosphere.

Corey did look good at Kenner but unfortunately he was coached by the Virus.

You def can't judge how a player will do in the season just by watching them at Kenner but you can see what attributes they are bringing to the team. AJ's athleticism and bounce isn't something we had on the team last season in a big. He also has a jumper out to the 3. He hit mid rangers constantly in yesterday's game and was playing well above the rim. Mar's versatility also wasn't something we had on last year's team for a big. He was about an inch taller than AJ. Watching them both play you can't help but be excited for Mason's future.

I'm looking forward to their game vs Higher Level when they both will be going against WILL THOMAS!

Based solely on the box score, AJ's numbers are pretty sick. With all caveats that it's a glorified pick-up game, having been told that his defense is miles ahead of his offense, it's great to see 2 20+ point games on 70+% shooting. I hope he becomes a guy like Kier and Otis who is just really hard for DP to take off the floor.

Kenner is like a pick up game but from yesterday's games the players were putting in some good effort. I saw charges taken and full court presses. The refs stink though.

I noticed that some box scores only had a player's jersey number but no name. Are these guys walk-ons?

I'm going to bet that AJ will break the Mason record for blocked shots by his junior year.

Looked this up out of sheer boredom. If I'm using CBR's player season finder correctly, 87 players in college basketball history have made it to 211 blocks in their first three years. 101 total have made it to 200 blocks through three years. That would put AJ in rare company, but it's certainly not unattainable:

The crazy thing is that his vertical going for blocks looks much higher than when he dunks. His head was at the rim on every block.
